"all tomb king lords are immortal" thats something i didnt know, was kinda afraid to lose them like you'd lose a regular sub level 20 lord
I was wondering about that, since sometimes you could disband a lord and sometimes you had to replace the lord with another one and disband that one.
Still don't quite know what is the factor for tomb kings that forbids disbanding if they are all immortal. Seems like brand newly recruited lords can be disbanded, and others not.
@@Garret007 all TK lords are immortal, however you can still put a point into the immortal trait. This is a wasted point that doesn’t really help. However that trait stops you from being able to disband a lord. Which is why you sometimes need to switch a lord with the trait out for one without in order to disband an army.
Losing a lord in battle is less about the lord dying and more with the low LD of all Tomb King units. It's possible on Legendary difficulty to just simply get a mass disintegration with a lord loss cause of how low every1's leadership is.
Morale and fatigue for essentially Undead robots.
In lore this robots piloted by human souls, so morale actually make sense
@@sergeifomenko2207 well its more that the binding on them is just becoming weaker, its why constructs have that little lightning effect
Something that always bothered me about the Tomb Kings was their constructs having morale problems. They're constructs, inanimate objects fueled by magic, how do they have morale to begin with, let alone poor morale? Why is an actual machine afraid of some big rats? It's probably for balance reasons but it makes no sense thematocally. Cathay in WH3 has constructs and they are unbreakable as they should be
To balance the game, tomb kings has a lot of constructs, and making them all unbreakable would be overpowered if not downright broken.
It's meant to represent the magic falling apart as the construct (or body for undeads) that is animated is damaged. Really, it should be tied to health, not to morale, except maybe for daemons, but they exist to cause as much chaos as possible, so even for them, morale doesn't quite make sense.
It's a consequence of CA being kinda unimaginative when importing the tabletop rules trying to apply its morale rules to these types of units, where they couldn't make it health dependent because units could have any number of entities and most entities only had 1hp.
@@arthanor9631 completely agree
In the lore the constructs are 'piloted' by a Nehekaren soul, they are actually thinking beings, same as the rest of the tomb kings
@@arthanor9631 Yes, I get it, but why would the magic get weaker if there are "faster and stronger enemy units nearby" as that clearly implies the unit feeling afraid or threatened?
The "morale" (or rather "magical integrity" or something like that) of constructs and undead units should have different rules than standard living units' morale. E.g. they could be immune to things that clearly are supposed to affect morale specifically (e.g. strong units nearby) but gain accumulating leadership penalties the more friendly units die, or larger than normal penalties when lords and/or heroes die. Maybe CA could change things in a future update for WH3, a racial rework for Tomb kings and Vampires?
They have no meat so it’s already a counter skaven
We can gnaw-chew on bones, yes-yes.

Thanks Legend for playing and saving my bacon! I'll get a Treacherous dude for this stack, one with a little more experience!
-After I'd sent in the save I realized I could have recruited a much stronger Tomb Lord. I started building this stack quite a few turns before, and so that's why I had a level 3 tomb lord in the stack. I simply never replaced him before I threw him into some shit, which was definitely a mistake.
- My necrotect was sniped by Wound the same turn as the ambush, so yay!
- I didn't put a liche priest in the army, but that is going to change.
I pick up most of my tips on how to play better from this channel, and I love having gotten the chance to get some feedback directly and improve, as well as getting a glimpse of how to use this stack effectively. I'm going to pick up this stack from where Legend left off and finish exterminating the rats >:)
EDIT: As for losing some Tomb Scorpions, it's cool, I lost the entire stack several times. Keeping 13 is better, and I'll happily take it!
EDIT 2: Also, sorry about the timer, I usually don't play with it on either and just totally forgot about it.
Also if you want to be strong as tomb kings the canopy jar cheese is a must
@@noriantiri9310 Is that where you recruit some dudes at least level 3 or 4 and spam the canopic trait and then disband? I did that little, probably should have done it more to have more stacks
@@SoraTheHappyEmo ideally you want to recruit lords every turn as soon as you can get jars from them because they are free, plus that expands your lord pool so much that you would have a treacherous lord at this stage of the game. But if you don't want to cheese you can avoid it, its just that if you cheese you can gain additionnal armies at a steady rate
I love how they follow their little master like ducklings
I hope that Tomb-Kings have anti-rat measures - imagine all the pest infestations that would plague their ancient pyramids otherwise...
Ironically, TK is the only race who Skaven allied with a couple of times. Simply because they thought Nagash is worse threat for them.
@@dmitriyk.2890 * *The Monkey King* is typing ..*
@@BailensdeLykenos Ok, that one also counts.
@@dmitriyk.2890 if I was a Skaven, I wouldn't wanna face off against no-furs with no tasty flesh that also have nasty magic. Empire much easier to feed off of since they deny Ratmen exist.
The Tomb Kings, known as the Priest Kings in their former lives, are the undying rulers of Nehekhara, an ancient Human civilisation that formed a great and powerful empire some two thousand five hundred years before the birth of Sigmar Heldenhammer and the founding of the Empire. Out of all the unliving creatures that would claim dominion and royalty over the dead, only the Tomb Kings could truly claim such masterful and undisputed sovereignty. For they had once ruled a mighty and far-flung empire during a time when the rest of Mankind were little more than savage barbarians.
Long ago, during an ancient and forgotten age, Nehekhara stood as a shining beacon of civilisation and Human achievement; a golden age when its cities shone with a majestic splendour, its buildings crafted from magnificent marble and limestone, its armies capable of conquering entire kingdoms. In this long-lost age, Nehekhara's mighty rulers reigned as living gods amongst men. But this great realm was destroyed millennia ago through acts of great treachery and powerful sorcery. The living of Nehekhara perished long ago in a single, mournful night, and in their absence, the dead stirred from their graves and claimed the land anew.
Even as their ancient civilisation now lies buried beneath the sand, its once verdant plains turned to searing desert and their mighty and glorious empire fractured and in ruin, the Tomb Kings have once more awoken from their deep sleep. Rising from their decrepit sarcophagi, the mummified rulers of Nehekhara awoke with eyes of burning balefire, their thirst for power, conquest and vengeance just as strong in death as in life.
They have returned to reclaim that which is rightfully theirs, their legions innumerable, rising up from the scorching sand brandishing weapons of polished bronze and priceless gold. Ancient, emotionless and spiteful to all those that have slighted them, woe betide those foolish enough to stand before their silent onslaught.
This... Is less of a doomstack than I'd have expected.
Tbh it's missing a lot of stuff, no Necrotect, no wizard, no points in the red line to boost the scorpions, and no healing, it's pretty far from being optimized as a doomstack, as Legend said in the beginning it's more like a doomstack in the making.
It'd be like an army with 1 Oldblood general and 19 stegadons, it's a strong army but it's far from a optimized doomstack

You can also craft weapon and get flame banner to buff this stack even further
42:15 The community bug fix mod fixes this bug, among other things. Recommended for a non-frustrating TK campaign.
Haha, skaven in the thumbnail:
Fuck my life-life!
Legend calling Snikch "Snickers" is the best thing ever.
One thing that I do in situations like this is try to seperate onto the most damaged units and use those to kite while the healthier units engage in the fighting
These thumbnails are pure masterpiece
6 tomb scorpions and a general, for only 3136 death rats... That was worth for the Skaven...
"We've made a mistake-stake!"
Finally here is our famous tomb scorp doomstack that you saying us everytime :D
Not gonna lie, those ANTI-something doomstack vids are fire lol
Love that skaven music. I should start a new skaven campaign just for the music.
I actually don't mind the Skaven as Tomb Kings, I really struggled vs Dark Elves though, all that armor piercing and quick damage dealers.
I still remember the OP Scorps when they first appeared in the game....... so much kino...
Doomstack of 40 minutes of micromanaging
Huh I never would have thought to just make an entire army full of scorpions
By far my favorite thumbnail image lmfao
Legend always has some occasional banger thumbnails
I learned so much from just the first 5 minutes of this video
maybe attacking Queek earlier might have been better, beause there was a lot of balance of power in him and he actually went down pretty good, of course difficult to have him seperated
thats it im going to play another tomb kings campaign i love their units so much lol
Legend you're probably the only person that refuses to win via timer.
Thanks!
i feel like at the 3 min mark he coulda turned those 5 scorpions on the army fighting his lord and take them all out while the rest kite and get to reinforcements
I just love using skeleton spam against skaven.
My PC hates it.
Until this video I had no idea units gained ranks during battle. Had to skip back to the beginning when I noticed all the silver pips half way through
yikes tuff battle well done m8
call me out if im wrong but chariot spam completely wrecks skaven since they can just rush at ranged units and arty
Do you have one for dwarfs?
How do you get 19 tomb scorpions but not have enough lich priests leveled up to raise them to a reasonable recruit rank? 🤦♂
That's a good tip, damn. >_> I have a lot of general Total War experience but haven't played Warhammer 2 as much as I have say Shogun 2 or Rome. Thanks for mentioning that, definitely going to recruit some liche priests too
As you can see near the end of the video (on the campaign map), the player had capability to recruit much higer level Lords at that point. Maybe he started recruiting that army before he got to that point and forgot to switch in a higher level Lord.
nice
No dead thing Things.. Take skull stack bones..yes yes make deal bow lower then me me
why is there no hero in the army :D lol how are some people playing >< they got limited armys... why
our lord and savior snikers 24:21
