Dreamstar

A film created in 2009 for the Windows on William exhibition at the Brave New World Clothing store, the film played continuously throughout the day and night. This experimental film involves a poncho exploring the city of Perth. The colour orange is an important element to the film, as is the constant black bars moving though the scenes, which makes the shots appear less real. This film shows how the effect of music can change the meaning of simple everyday activities and make it seem as if the images have more meaning. The film changes tone as the music changes to a tone that continuously changes frequency, this draws your attention to the motion of the film and feels less surreal.
