sad fact: the yourself bf was a sketch made by someone known as divide, he was a sonic.exe programmer but died from cancer in his sleep, so the lyrics' stay awake long enough' is actually referring to divide saying to say awake and not die to show how proud he is, and the yourself bf was a sketch in his book, until someone modded it. fly high divide.

He was an Angel while GF is still a demon, after her death he fell into a deep depression and stopped taking care of himself. His wings then turn black as he tears them off, as seen when Herself shows up he has black wings on his back. Herself soul now lives within his mic and he wants to make her proud before she could pass on, and her staying as long as she could to see that moment.
So basically if you want to know the lore, I believe yourself is an alternative version of bf where he lost everything including his GF and the red thing that you saw in yourself’s lyrics was GFs spirit

One thing that I find hilarious is that if we're going with your canon events you stated in one of your posts that if Bf and Gf leave M's cartridge they get Thanos snapped, so I like to think you just yoink Bf's family, slide up to M, put your hand on his shoulder and be like "Hey" "Ffs not again"
Well I decided to change some things about that Now BF and GF and go out of the cartridge but only for a limited time before they'll sent back inside the cartridge
Here's my head canon for this, Silly Billy takes place after MM V2, BF uses his Retry to revive himself and get out of the game, but GF is still dead, so, BF because Yourself, and then, he meets the OG BF, like the BF from the base game of FNF. and challanges him to a rap-battle.
I think you come close, considering gf does die in that mod. but there is one thing that disproves this theory, its ultra M's world, so bf has a set number of lives. he used his last one when he got skewed through the heart. also, bf has no way of getting out of the cartridge if he didn't die considering M wasn't going to leave him alive. I do like your theory though, it comes close. (edit) also, "yourself" keeps his clothes unkempt since gf died, so he'd have the hole in his shirt at least.
