I bought the limited editionl in 2016 and spoke with Gary Casper, the inventor. I stopped using it after getting an Ooni because of the heat. Now I find they have had a wood fired oven one where the delivery system keeps your hand out of the oven. I prefer using a perforated metal peel but many times I wind up making pizza with over-fermented soft dough. The super peel comes to te rescue. btw superpeel was the name before they were bought out and changed to EZ Peel.
I like my grill, works great and I’ve smoked all sorts of meat on it, Pork Butt, brisket, wings, sausage. My kids LOVE the pizza I make on it. My only complaint so far is that I bought in June of this year, but by September I had to replace the igniter. They replaced for free but 3 months in and I’m already doing surgery on it, is a little strange. Things I’m looking to improve: I want to get some Weber accessories like the 22” rotisserie ring to use on it. Also I need to drill out the access hole for the second thermometer. You can’t fit the boot of the plug through the hole as it’s too small. Minor issues but still this does work great and so far very happy.
Chuck eye is a great steak. It hit or miss if I can find them. I bought New York strip roast cut 14 steaks out of it. I love my bullseye. I got the last model it gets in the 800 most the time. Keep up the good work.
Great video. You said something that piqued my interest. That you have this grill at both homes. Are there any other grills you consider so essential that you have at both homes?
I have had minor issues with grease fire with my standard bullseye a couple times over the years but to solve it I just always make sure to do a hot cook between a low and slow. If all you do is grill on this, the grease burns off as you cook.
You would if you lived in a windy area. I have a Traeger that goes to 450° when the wind blows and have it set at 450 it runs at 300-325. And yes I have my deck blocked as much as possible without enclosing it. I bought the RECTEQ BULLSEYE and no more issue.
Mine didn’t rust but the auger and motor are done. Auger jammed a lot and pellets in the hopper would catch. Love my big bull recteq smoker.. trying to assess if the quality is better with this one.
Nice grill! I've been looking at those for quite some time. Looks like you got the temp dialed in just right for pizza Tom! Merry Christmas in FL!
Thanks for Watching and Supporting! Merry Christmas!

Ive had mine about a year also and i love it. I also bought a cast iron grill grate for it. As far as im concerned its a must have.
Why, i always prefer stainless. Easy to clean.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Tom 💥
Thanks for Watching and Supporting! Have a great Holiday!
On things to improve, I'm real surprised that you didn't mention a pellet dump, so you can change pellets!
Thanks for Watching Tom! You are correct, however, I’ve not used a pellet dump yet on any pellet grill I have.
Do you need to worry about the pellets in the hopper collecting moisture if you store it outside? and/or with a grill cover?
Thanks for watching! If you don’t use it for an extended period of time 3 months, yes
Great job Mr Tom!
Thanks for Watching Chris!
Do you those drip pans they sell for this unit or how do you deal with the grease.
Merry Christmas 🎄🎄
Great grill
Thanks Eric! Merry Christmas!

Thanks for Watching Michael! Weber 22”. Merry Christmas
Would you recommend the Deluxe Bullseye or the Rectec Deck boss 590? Love all of your videos!
Thanks for watching Brent! All depends what you plan on using it for
Hi Tim. How are you keeping the outside so clean? I use mine occasionally and it develops some darker areas around the vents regularly.
Thanks for watching! I use gel gloss on the exterior
How many grills do keep at the southern command?
Thanks for Watching Chris! Just s couple……Merry Christmas!
Tom, what do you use for a drip pan?
Thanks for watching! For low and slow I use an aluminum drip pan
nobody is talking about the grease. Where does the grease go. No grease dump, possible flare up?
need to add a grease collector
Thanks for watching! For greasy cooks I use aluminum drip tray on the heat deflector.

Do you think the only fire pizza oven attachment is worth buying for the recteq?
Thanks for watching! You don’t need it to do pizza on the bullseye
Great video thank you
Appreciate you watching !
Too bad you can’t still remote start these. Recteq screwed us with that “update”
Thanks for Watching! Correct
I just don’t think getting to 1000 degrees vs 550 and Wi-Fi is worth doubling the price.
Thanks fr watching Brady! Appreciate the feedback! Merry Christmas!

Best little 22” pellet grill out there…..it’s has way more than the regular bullseye!!! Love it!
@Rbouch Thanks for watching Robert! Agreed! Merry Christmas!
When I saw his phone I had to check how old the video was
Thanks for Watching!
I bought the original and it was a huge fail. Rusted out within 18 months. Auger quit also. My other recteq has been great.

English is a funny language. Saying "Honest 1 year review" implies you may have a dishonest one somewhere.
lol, Thanks for Watching!
Try not to read into everything (with that statement I’m not implying you do this all the time)!
Thanks for watching
