I’m not that, you know, celebrity lover who constantly follows everything about some famous person, but Selma...I loved her for years, since I was a kid and I stole my sister’s vintage Italian Vogue with her on the cover. And now looking at her is pretty hard, but at the same time I’m proud of how passionate she is at her battle and her interview with Ms Roberts shows us a brave girl, loving person, vulnerable but strong. I have high hope for her! I was diagnosed 11 years ago with MS and I was a terrible mess. Could barely walk with 2 canes (I refused to have a walker) and use my hands (could barely write and eat by myself). As of today I go for 6-8km walks on the regular and I write and draw without any problems. Selma mostly needs to figure out how to tone down the flare up. She's been fighting this disease since years (since the birth of her son) without knowing what was happening, so now that she know I give her a year or two of learning how to deal with the illness and she'll see her health improve a LOT. ♥

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease that attacks the central nervous system. It affects the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves.
Symptoms range widely. In milder cases, there may be numbness in the limbs. Severe cases may involve paralysis or vision loss.
It is not possible to predict how multiple sclerosis (MS) will progress in any individual.
Over 400,000 people in the United States (U.S.) have MS, and around 10,000 new cases are diagnosed each year.
It is two to three times more common in women than in men, and diagnosis usually occurs between the ages of 20 and 50 years.

I’m so sorry about your mother’s illness. My mother and I have Lupus, which is in the same family of illnesses. I’m never happy for anyone to suffer from an illness, BUT, I’m glad there are some celebs that are ill and being forthcoming about it. People are less likely to think you’re lying or wanting attention or are just a whiner or drug seeker if it’s normalized, if they see people do in fact struggle with their health in these ways, that sometimes they can be triumphant in their fight (at a great cost afterward), and that it does actually impact real people all the time.

In her strength and her grace in the face of a debilitating illness makes her more beautiful than I’ve ever seen her. I was in love with a woman just like her years ago, one whom had a physical disability but doesn’t let it stop her from being totally awesome, a woman with whom I am still friends with, so I recognize that kind of courage and risk-taking. Bravo, Selma. Tears and all, you owned that moment baby. That courage makes you all the more attractive.

I am glad she came out about this. She looks beautiful. I teared up a second there watching her don't do that easily.I have a very dear friend who's dealing with the same condition. Why don't doctors listen. She's gone to the best including Stanford and they discounted her claims at first. They assumed she was over exaggerating. I had a major a condition that required surgery falling all the time and doctors still thought all I needed was a pain psychologist instead of admitting they didn't know what was wrong.Including Stanford who thought I needed more P.T. My doc. now said that was the worst thing I could have done.Wasted a lot of my own savings going down to Stanford from NV and my time. Finally with another locally MRI a doctor said I needed surgery now, unbelievable.I plan on confronting those doctors too as soon as I heal a little more.I am glad she's fighting. Not self medicating not taking this lightly and finding the right doctor who listened.

Yes. It is so odd that the title gives basically an exact description of what is happening in the video.
