CHOCO-FLAN CAKE - OUTDOOR OMNIA OVEN COOKING

Ingredients:
For the Flan:
4 eggs
4 oz (110g) cream cheese
1 can (440g) of sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp (15ml) vanilla extract
For the Caramel:
1/2 cup (100g) of sugar
For the Chocolate Cake
1 ½ cup (180g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (100g) of cocoa powder 70%
4 eggs
½ cup (100g) sugar
½ cup (120ml) of vegetable oil
½ cup (120g) half and half
2 tsp (10g) baking powder
1 tbsp (15l) vanilla extract
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients for the chocolate cake, except the flour and baking powder. Once the batter is smooth, gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder, mixing slowly to avoid clumps.
Pour half the chocolate batter into a greased pan.
Bake at 200F for approximately 13 minutes or until you see the cake start to firm up a bit.
While the chocolate cake is baking, in a blender or a hand mixer, combine all the ingredients for the flan and blend until smooth. Pour the flan mixture onto the chocolate cake.
Then pour the remaining half of chocolate batter on the flan.
Bake for an additional 35-40 minutes at 200F, or until the cake is fully cooked.
While the cake is cooling, in a saucepan over medium heat, add 1/2 cup of sugar to make the caramel. Allow it to caramelize, stirring frequently until it turns brown, then remove it from the heat.
Immediately pour the caramel onto the cooled cake before serving.
