I have had one for over 8 years and never had any problems with it . It always starts , even when left for days in the rain or snow . It's cheep to run and the insurance and service is pocket money . Well done Volkswagen !!!!!!!!!!
Remember to road test the car only if it has been standing for a few days because there can be a problem with the clutch when selecting reverse then first gear. The UP will 'crunch' into reverse and resist going into first...not what you want on a Monday morning.
okay , i buy that car on last year september and my car have repair it for 2 time changing gear box and one time power steering. Also i have a suzuki swift buy it at 3 year ago and without any problem. What did you think ??
For the last 4 years, Volkswagen group cars have been and still are statistically the least reliable vehicle on UK roads. It is common to see Toyotas reaching 3 - 4 hundred-thousand miles. VAG cars usually need a lot of money spent on them after 120K.
He didn't mention the very common intermittent 1st gear problem did he ? It can sometimes be almost impossible to select 1st gear from cold. And this problem can still kick in any time when the engine is warm. Very annoying at traffic lights as you struggle to select 1st gear to move off with guys sounding their horns behind you 😈
Great city car shame about the shitty customer service. VAG really don't give a fuck about the quality (or lack thereof) of the customer service their authorised dealers provide to their customers.
Bought 3 yr old 22K High Up! Just couldn't live with the transmission. Clunky gear change, vibration through clutch pedal and strange noise when changing gear over 4000 rpm. Asked dealer to check it out, told all Up!s are the same! Handed car back and bought a Polo.
So a Volkswagen through and through. Neat details and touches and terrible build quality. There is no excuse for the problems mentioned, other than the seats. Toyota can sell you an Aygo for less than 8 grand and nothing will go wrong with it for thousands of miles, yet people will say it isn't as well made just because the interior plastic look cheap.
it's a VW, of course it will have faults, the ones that don't are built in Japan or Korea. By the way who built that dashboard, Beethoven? cause it looks cheap n nasty. £700 for a new compressor, firstly that's sounds like a bad design if it's stone damaged, secondly I would expect a manufacturer to replace free during warranty, as a matter of goodwill

hey does it have emergency breaking thing/radar? that breaks the car instead of you? Thnaks
@@jancko995 Nope , you have to use mark one eyeball for that .
You've had the same car for 8 years ?😲
i have a 2014 vw up and owned it since 2016 .. its bullet proof what a car that just keeps going

i can't believe he didn't mention....that you can't control the passenger window from the driver side you have to reach across which is a pain
Nice little car, I'm a big fan of the Up! Just can't make my mind up on which colour I like more
Main problems: you cannot turn up-down the right window .
the air conditioning system is poor if you live in hot places.
fine car to drive. but a point to attention is the gearbox, they do show problems.
Had one for 8 years , never had any trouble with it !

Declutch in neutral and the gear should select fine
Never had any problems . And that is after using for 8 years .
Quality built car had one 3 years no problems also have a 208 like a bean tin on wheeels

You need to buy a BMW or Audi if you dont want this, fs sake its an UP.
@@zachp7603 well yeah it's an UP it's cheap an Audi or BMW isnt
Changing gear above 4000rpm🤣😂🤣
Japanese cars are fantastic. Toyota are the best, probably followed by Honda. Nissan are good but not as good as they used to be.
Nowhere near as good to drive.
German cars have crap build quality. Japanese or Ford for a decent drive. It's always a German car broken down at the side of the road.
I wonder how tall this guy is
Fuzzy crackly radios on our 2 Ibizas as well. Clearly VAG need to invest in better radio receivers in their cars!
Have you ever owned a Japan car ?
i thought the steering wheel was off centre on the right hand drive models
yes
TO ME IT DOES I LOVE BEING 1ST
Have you ever owned geramn car
A shit 1st gear. Unable to connect from cold start. Move off in 2nd gear then after a few yards 1st gear will engage.
If not going into 1st. U depress and press again the clutch..
"IF you leave your mirrors out, people might hit them!"
No fucking shit Sherlock...
A Dacia Sandero is better and bigger too
To me , German car are bull...... , did you have any Japan car ?
Fred Cesare any 'Japan' car

Ricky Bobby hands
yea , why ? I have volkswagen Polo GTI
2.10 poo stains
And it's a worse than Janapnese car of that range?
I talk from my experience, you talk wtah wikipedia tell you
Then I can bet you don't even know much about car. Audi, BMW and VW ranked in the bottom 10 of a study into engine reliability.
Not effective comments

...yeah I got a second opinion on the "stoned" compressor
Japan 's car is a crap ??
That's nothing new, really...
1st
It looks like a box.... The toyota iQ is a much better car
edward mercer the interior is awful in the iQ that's why i chose the UP
Up! far better to drive.
VW Up! is a JOKE! It looks awful, and it really looks like a clown..
I wouldn't want to be caught dead in one- It's an embarassment
VWs are highly overrated..
Terrible looking car
