- An international hunt is under way for the gang that killed two prison officers and left two others in a critical condition after ambushing their vans to free a convict, the French interior minister said on Wednesday.
Gérald Darmanin said that the authorities had implemented an “unprecedented” operation to find Mohamed Amra, who was at large for a second day after escaping in the ambush.

The force could not find another way to protect the informer, or give the policeman more company, but they found one thousand officers to line the street, in attendance to his funeral.
