MENTALIST have released 3 albums so far.
'Freedom Of Speech' released on 28th of August 2020 in Europe and on 4th of September 2020 in the USA!

OMFG, my fave Blind Guardian song played by the man himself, Thomen Stauch! I love Blind Guardian so much, even some of the stuff they made after you left is absolutely killer, but I can't help feeling a little sad when I hear cuts like "This Will Never End", "Tanelorn", and "Ride Into Obsession", and imagining how they would sound with your inimitable style driving them. Don't get me wrong, Frederik is an absolute beast, but your signature style on those albums after you left...would just make songs like the ones mentioned even greater I feel.

I've been to countless rock concerts, and I've seen some of the best drummers in the world, but the best I've ever seen in terms of quality was your Blind Guardian in 1998, at a venue called Olímpia in São Paulo, Brazil, in the year 1998. You are amazing!

Everything about this album is perfect. The drums on classic BG albums always stood out for me because you had such a unique style, powerful and yet blended so well into the music. You were one of the biggest influences on me back when I started drumming myself! Also I liked Christos Efthimiadis, the drummer for Rage in those years, I also found him to be very good in that regard, never too flashy and always perfect fit for the song! He's in a band with another Rage drummer now who is a singer there, that's quite an unexpected turn for me personally, but it looks and sounds alright )

Hey Thomen, although we all know A Night at the Opera is not your favorite album in terms of "new music direction", I would really like to see you playing a song from it, I think the drum work on this album is AMAZING, you change the rithym and do something different every 3 f*cking seconds of each song, it's frenetic! One of the best drumming works it comes to my mind. Please consider doing a video like this playing a whole song from ANATO 🙏🏻

90s was by far the best decade of my life, Blind Guardian were big contributors of the joy I was having back then when listening to them while reading Tolkien, thing I still do once every year. Of course I listen to BG far far more often. Im so glad I found your channel Thomen, I never got over your absence from the line up! Thanks for sharing your music!

Happiness. That's what I feel when I watch this. Pure happiness and a bunch of inspiration. Now as I myself have matured a bit (I hope) as a man and a drummer I have so much more understanding how much of the blind guardian sound that I love is because of your drumming. I really can't get the same feel from the newer stuff and since I can see you still got the style and chops I'm a bit sad that there's no chance of seeing BG with you. But at least there's this videos and well, nothing lasts forever. Keep on playing dude and yet again thanks for all your work ❤

My greatest desire is to listen to new versions of the good songs by BG, but whatever you created for them. Your touch is unique!
I remember hearing this in high school 1996, blew my mind. Tightest double bass playing I had heard at that point. Been a fan of Thomen's drumming ever since. He still got it! My channel has a guitar cover of "Journey Through The Dark" if anyone cares to check... I sped it up though (to challenge my alternate picking, which is FAR easier to do fast than double bass)

Love your work - Some of your parts on Nightfall have been massively influential for my playing. That said - you need better cameras - half of your hands are a blur! I really want to see some of the sticking in some parts!
Everybody tells me RUclips uses highest 30 fps, so a better camera would be the same blurry shit as it seems. For a longer period i did some videos in 60fps and it was the same shit. Not really better. Don't know how to solve that, my friend! 🤷♂️🤗🤗🤘🏻 Thanks for your kind words! 🫶
