I took the LSAT in November of 2019. I started studying about mid August just using a Kaplan prep book and some practice tests. The first 6 weeks I studied like 3 or 4 days a week for a few hours. Around the end of September I ramped up my studying to 5 or 6 days a week for about 3 hours. I also began taking a full length test under timed conditions about once every other week. That really helped me build my mental stamina. My biggest advice would be to give yourself plenty of time to study. The LSAT is not cheap and you do not want to shell out another $200 to take it unless you absolutely have to. I would focus most on the analytical reasoning (since those sections make up half of the test) and the logic games. They’re a pain but once you figure them out you can really boost your score. The first time I took a test I only got like 5 of the logic games questions right. By the end of my studying I was regularly getting 18 or more right per game section. I also recommend reviewing all of the questions you miss to understand why your chosen answer was wrong. The LSAT creators love to give options that are almost right or look right to trick you. Reviewing your missed questions allows you to identify their trick answers and avoid them.
GREAT STORY!! So you studied for 3 months at 5-6 days a week at 3 hours/day and that was enough for you? I am figuring out which may be best. Thank you for your response.
@@equallyyoked1from what I read from other LSAT studiers they study a few hours a day and ramp up at the end. That seems like they get the hang of it and get more invested. I hope to study 5-6 hours a day just to see myself get beyond what I imagine so I want to study more
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been studying for a while and haven’t seen much improvement. I was discouraged so much and I feel much better after watching this video❤️
I took the LSAT and it was the absolute worst. -10/10 I also self studied and I definitely did not study long enough. Should’ve started a long time before I did.
Did you move to Arizona before law school? Just curious. Yes. The LSAT prep courses were $1000-$1400 about 10 years ago. They are probably more expensive now. Yes. The GPA and LSAT is a sliding scale.

Can you share which books you used to study?

I'm going to take my LSAT a 4x time. Will it affect me if I've never submitted my previous scores?

Yes, I moved to AZ a year before. And yeah prep courses are extremely expensive! Glad all of it is behind me now :)
Jenn Martin Yes. Hopefully you pay in-state tuition. ASU has a good law school and Arizona is a nice place to live, too.
@@michelleeaton6602 Yes, I like it here!
@Constitutional Law 😮

Do you have Instagram
WAIT ISN'T THERE 5 SECTIONS ON THE LSAT (1RC +2LR +1LG +1EXP= 5 SECT)? ARE YOU SURE YOU TOOK THE LSAT AND NOT LIKE THE GMAT OR SOMETHING ELSE?
Only 4 of them are scored, the writing section does not count for your score!
@Constitutional Law How does one know which of the four is not graded?
Constitutional Law why do so many politicians go to law school?
