Hey Chris, I'm 15 and wanted to tell you that one of your first videos was one of the things that inspired me to be a woodworker. I have been watching you and working with wood since I was 10. Your creativity and ability to improvise and engineer things is amazing! I dont know if you have seen any of the old treadle table saws but that would be an awesome project. Albeit a little more challenging, time consuming, and expensive... But I think it would be worth it in the end
+Jeremy Novak I need to find more sewing machines then! Thanks for the great comment. It really makes me feel great. Can you send me examples of the saw you are talking about? chopwithchris@gmail.com.
Chris, I love your videos. I live in townhouse and don't really have room for such a fulfilling hobby. But I come here to watch your videos, by far yours are the best on you tube in terms of watching someone create something out of nothing.
on of the best builds so far! Not only a good idea, but what great reuse of basically scrap - I'm so impressed, Sir! And also: not only creative in the builds, but also in the making of the videos.
I'm glad to see another piece of history brought back to life. I love to do the same. I just got an old wooden corn shucker and plan on cleaning and fixing it to working condition. Always enjoy your videos.
You are seriously one of my favorite youtubers. You put out amazingly creative (and fun to watch) content, you respond to tons of comments, and you always have such a good attitude! Keep up the amazing work!
Absolutely brilliant. I cannot write down the words that express my amazement. It's a bit like the creation of Frankensteins monster. you are a genius like Einstein. Love it.
Good evening Chris, excellent work on your jigsaw my friend. Nice screw design with the idler, it seems to be working great. I can assume that once the flywheel is up to speed, it is easy to keep the momentum going with the foot pedal. You must have a longer "in detail" video coming up for this project hehe. Nice of you to show the time when the blade broke. Probably need some slight alignment or tension tweaks. Great job my friend keep up the good work.
In my opinion, better than the modern ones, you only put spare parts for the archwire and the others are special. I recommend you see the mountain range that Uri tuchman hoisted.
I have lots of boxes of bits, but I have no idea what to do with most of them LOL! I do have a deep appreciation for your love of off-grid style maker mentality. I'm learning a lot from your channel. CP.
Does it wobble when you do it fast? Btw keep up the good work and your channel will explode. I think it's cool how you take the time to respond to almost every comment
+Jon Tyson Thanks. I try to respond to all non trolling comments. Surprisingly it does not rock too much. Of course I put it on a couple of walking matts to absorb the vibration.
Love it :D seems a little expensive and a bit over the top but hey you decide . i bought mine for £17 maybe i just got a bargain . A lot of them go for £100-200
