Lord... dropping you a sub!!! You have no idea what you are getting yourself into. This is the prototype to what became many popular international kpop idol groups. BAP transcends what it means to be different and they are the dark horses of the hallyu wave. Daehyuns voice, Yongguks Rapping, Zelos Charisma, Jongups Dancing, Youngjaes vocals and Himchans... (although we don't stan him for what he did... visuals) are just undeniable. Daehyuns voice will go down as one of the best idol singers in the history of kpop.
You should watch their live performance too…they are indeed Best Absolut Perfect!!!
Yay, B.A.P!!! I have been waiting for this day, you're slowly making your way through my ult groups, & I apologize in advance for how long this will be, btwn my adhd & ocd it's going to be bad...
B.A.P are actually considered the 1st 3rd gen bg, debuting in January of 2012, but the rap line debuted in 2011 as a duo, Bang & Zelo, our giant babywas barely 15 & already 6'...part of the reason I have 3 biases, w/Jongup, in a 6 member group, lol...
Also, Yongguk is 1 of those rare idols whose voices physically affect me in a way I can't control, lol, but he's also a very successful songwriter/producer, like he wrote/produced JustB's debut song & another song from that mini, he's also 1 of a 1st idols to be vocal about mental health issues & had to take a hiatus cuz of that btwn their Skydive & Wake Me Up promotions...
It also cracks me up, cuz in any other group Zelo would have been the deep voiced rapper, especially after his voice fully changed, but being in a group with Yongguk no one realizes how deep his voice is until you hear it in certain songs or like his solos...
Then, in One Shot there were actually chunks of 3 songs, the beginning on the boat you mentioned vocals is Daehyun going off & part of Punch, & then the middle where it slows down before the meet up at the end is part of Coma, & the rest is, of course, One Shot, they're all on the ep of the same name, with Rain Sound which they released as a 2nd mv...
Warrior was their debut, & at the time they were winning awards & a legitimate rival to Exo, they would have been so big if TS Entertainment wasn't actually the devil, to the point that literally every artist they ever signed sued them after realizing how horrible they are...
Their rabbit mascot is called a Matoki, & they had the concept of being aliens from planet Mato, & they each have their own character, & they had a predebut reality, but also scripted, show about them coming to earth & them trying to blend in with humanity while training to debut to spread good vibes to as many ppl on earth as possible...
I was right guessing you were talking about Daehyun as the emotional vocalist, he's ridiculous, & he's the other part of the Hyun Family meme that became so popular Tae mentioned it in 1 of the 1st after debut interviews BTS did, talking about him looking like Baekhyun & Daehyun's child, lol...
Hands Up was actually their last comeback, very emotional, but they have stayed close & were even still doing tours together b4 Covid hit, but they still get together from time to time to surprise us, like posting about them having lunch before Youngjae enlisted last year, so Babyz always keep hoping...
Honeymoon is obviously 1 of their more refreshing sounding songs, for lack of a better word, they do have more of if you're liking that sound better, Yongguk looks too good in the mv, not that they all don't, but the tease of seeing his long hair was too much for me...
They all have solos as well, so plenty of content to eventually react to, or binge on your own so you don't have to wait to hear everything, lol
BAP is the group that got me into K-pop. Even though they're "disbanded" I will forever be a BABY. Well, BABYtiny now, but you know what I mean. I love that people are still discovering them because they are such talented individuals who would have gone far if not for their label. It's still my hope that they'll release music together as a group in the future.

BAP sounds like 2nd Gen, but they are Gen 3, I know it's surprising, but it was also why it was so easy for me to love them, because I love Gen 2 so much. I mean, yes, the songs and dancing are epic, plus the vocals are amazing, the raps go hard, but the ACTING! 🤯
Deep Azz voice man, is Bang Yongguk, you should check out his solo stuff, he produces, dances and sings and raps, Manz is an ACE. He was the leader of BAP, before they disbanded.😢

The man with the deep voice is Bang Yongguk, and yes he was the leader (my king... ops sorry) I MISS THEM so much, my first ult group. Everytime with their mvs was a roller coaster of emotions. Warrior was they're debut, I love this song so much. I love how you call our giant baby tiny man 😂. Is just me who think Yongguk and Donghun (A.C.E) look alike?

I loved your reaction Caitlyn. So the vocal that you love is Daehyun, the deep voice rapper is the leader and his name is Yongguk. The one you thought was leader is Youngjae. I love that my 2 biases (Zelo aka tall maknae and Daehyun) and my 2 wreckers (Yongguk and Youngjae) all caught your attention. That makes me so happy. Some songs i think you would love are power, stop it, coffee shop, and skydive. Oh and Zelo and Youngguk have a duo song mv called never give up. It is so good. They do have alot more songs i think you would love but those are the ones i would like to recommend. I love and miss B.A.P so much so I am so happy you reacted to them and love them. awww yeah the group that got me into kpop. So glad you are loving them so much already! It's funny, Honeymoon technically isn't their last song before they all left ts ent but it definitely feels more like a goodbye song than Hands Up does. Yongguk's (and yes you got him correct! deep voiced rapper is the leader!) rap specifically feels like a big f you to ts in general- "we're beautiful. I know you hate it but i'm freer than I've ever been" makes me so emotional every time. Can't wait to see you get into more of their stuff highly recommend checking out lyrics as well for all of their songs, Yongguk wrote most of their stuff and very heavily influenced their musical/lyrical focus into themes of justice, mental health, etc. You actually got a pretty good spread of their vibes for your four picks which is super cool! If you want to do some fun lighthearted songs: Feel So Good and That's My Jam; Skydive is another mini movie mv. I personally really like Power, Wake Me Up, and Angel (1004) is a must watch. Honestly you can't really go wrong with any picks from them. Their first full album is in my top 5 of my favorite kpop albums; their b-sides are immaculate too

Oneshot is certainly one heck of an mv to start with, it helped to start a trend of people reacting to dramatic mvs like this. Yongguk just released a new album, should definitely check it out! Also warrior was their debut, and them all being blond was hilarious and frustrating when trying to learn the members

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure BAP was the first group to have members have different mascots/characters to represent them. Since then everyone has something similar, but i think it got super popular with BTS and their BT21 characters. At least i dont remember or know if older gen groups had mascots/characters

I hate TS Ent SO BAD for ruining what could have been one of the TOP groups back in the 2010s, they were on the heels of EXO and the company managed them (and treated them and their other artists) into the depths of hell. Im glad the company is dead ✨️💕
Theyre all so talented. Obvi you know Jongup, but Bang Yongguk (deep voice rapper) & Zelo (younger rapper) have their own solo careers. Daehyun and Youngjae had handful of songs, but Youngjae was on his acting grind.
Himchan... we dont talk about that sadly 🙃🙃
