Wonho was a victim of cyberbullying. He was accused of smoking weed and owning money to a woman that was trying to stain his reputation (She also did the same with the other idols). Since MX popularity was getting higher and higher, Wonho left to protect his members. A intensive police investigation was done and he was proven innocent of all drug and money charges! He is still friends with the members but Starship don't let them interact in public (That stupid company). Wonho and the boys suffered a lot with everything that happened (the stages from follow era are extremely painful to watch, you can see clearly how devasted they were). These boys truly deserve nothing but happiness! Can't wait to see you react to more of them as a group and as 7 soloists!

I want to say something about Kihyun, Kihyun is known as that kind of singers who can sing all genres and styles, it's really rare for a singer and vocalist 👌👌
Also you might have seen Hyungwon’s enlistment pic or a similar one from a Jeonghan post lol. Also in Korea people born earlier in the year often go to school with the year before them, so Hyungwon’s classmates were 93liners. He’s called a fast 94-liner. There’s very little difference between his and Kihyun’s bdays so they with Minhyuk are the 93 line^^
And EVERYONE in MX gets roasted haha, no one is safe ever. The 93 line are guilty of this especially. Hyungwon and Kihyun are known as the Tom and jerry of MX, and Hyungwon and Minhyuk have known each other even before debut(they auditioned together and HW lived with MH’s family for a bit). Shownu probably is the safest though from being roasted? Kinda? xD

It was all started weeks before their last 2019 comeback, Follow : find you era. At that time monsta x are at their "peak" (After getting 8 wins with 2 previous comebacks). They about to release their first English Album and finished successful world tour. Haters started spreading rumors and out-of-context videos attacking several members like shownu, minhyuk, wonho, it was really chaos in monbebeland back then 😢
After weeks of hate train, one of wonho's childhood friend and Han seo hee (problematic girl in kpop industry) accused wonho for illegally using marijuana. Wonho step down from monsta x days after Follow MV released.
after 5 months, he cleared of all drug charges by Seoul Metropolitan Police. He did an interview with dispatch and he once said "I didn’t want to see Monsta X break apart because of me. I thought the group could be saved if I left the group as soon as possible". I remember crying nonstop for 1 month after wonho left T.T it was really nightmare and painful year for monbebe, wonho is just a goofball who really loves his fans.
Wonho signed with Highline (Starship subsidiary) and he's still be friend with Monsta x members. Sorry for my bad English 😁

My daughter and I were fans then too and it was very traumatic. We thought there was no way Monsta X could ever be the same again. We were scared for Jooheon cause he took it so hard and he physically looked unhealthy for a while after. They are all such beautiful souls that it was painful to see them go through that. Once Wonho had a successful solo career and Monsta X was kicking ass with 6 members, we were able to move on as well. ❤
so glad you keep reacting to them, i'm really enjoying your monbebe journey ^^ and yes, they all are problems, but i have a feeling when you get to know Kihyun more you will completely fall in love. I see your smile at him already and you know he is such a caring and lovely person. They all are but he is something else. Not only bringing flowers for members at their birthdays, supporting ALL their activities even now. He is always writing to members and monbebes, like EVERY WEEK despite being in military. Hyungwon and Jooheon writes also (not Minhyuk because he is a menace xd) but not that often. Kiki is just too precious.

I think Hyungwon’s debut as an actor started in a series called Please Find Her. He’s also starred in a series called Fly Again where his character is trying to become an idol. He also acted along side Xuimin from Exo in Ceo-dol Mart which came out last year.

They deserve more, they stole THEIR moment and the unthinkable happened... BUT they have risen up and given their best, being considered one of the most solid groups, with a varied discography and awesome! As a Monbebe I am VERY PROUD of them! Plus, they pamper Monbebe TOO MUCH haha 😂 it's impossible not to love them! ❤

The boys are amazing and dont get why so many people hate them, there's no reason... :( as you can see they were 7, and some monbebes (included me) still love him, and for us he's still a monsta x member, they are sweet, lovely, hardworking and talented boys and everyone who is involved in the kpop industry loves them

Mmh the only fact that i would add that you might come across is that Changkyun left Starship Ent but he's still in monsta x.
He left the company bc he felt like he was getting too comfortable there and he needed more challenges for his solo career ! That's why when you will check his recent releases it's on his own yt channel. He signed with Sony and the other members re-signed with Starship !
Also his mbti is actually unknown bc he hates mbti but members said he is the most introverted.
Definitely check Wonhos solo work.
In 2019, An ex friend on social media accused Wonho of owing money and smoking weed .. he was investigated by the police, but to save harming the groups reputation ,while this was all going on, he decided to leave the group. He was cleared of all charges, but then went solo under highline entertainment, which is actually a subsidiary of Starship .. coming back to monstaX was never really an option for him after all that. .

I know Wonho's fandom may seem a little silly at first but it's actually very sweet and meaningful. Monbebe from all over the world trended for months the hashtag WeNeedWonho. They were very distressed because they got months of radio silence. Knowing how sweet and sensitive Wonho must have been maddening. When he returned and Named his fans WENEE is like him thanking the fans for waiting for him, that he saw and acknowledged their efforts.
He has many songs dedicated to his fans. That video of him crying and writing a song i think its from him in 2017 for the song. "I'll be there".
In his solo, he pre released the song & MV for "Losing You". Lyrics all in English. Very heart felt to his situation with both Monsta X and his fans.
"WENEED" a song that now that i have expained more context feels self explanatory 💙😂 I think you will love it.
You really need to see their performance of "Versace on the Floor". 🔥❤
Btw Monsta X and Seventeen are Besties, as a whole they are really close 😌🥰❤

This guide is so much better than the 2023 guide I suggested. I'm glad you did this one. I hadn't seen it before. Plus, I love that they included Wonho. If you want a good compilation video you should check out Monsta X Moments that should be taught in school. Now that you've seen a guide I think it will be a good companion. ❤
From what I've read, and I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate... Wonho had some allegations of drug use or involvement with drugs in some capacity (prior to debuting in MX - when he was a young teen I believe), and he chose to leave the group so he wouldn't tarnish their reputation. It sucks that he felt the need to do that. I would love to think that they are all still friends, and maybe they are; however, I think since he's still under Starship I think the label keeps them apart. I am pretty sure that MX doesn't harbor any ill will toward Wonho, and would love to see them reconnect again in the future. I think it's important to know that Monbebe still loves Wonho so much and we've gone on to follow his solo career as well.

I highly recommend checking out a full album, even in your own time. that's where the gems are. honestly as a long time fan I can tell you most of their title tracks though high quality usually don't come close to the quality of the B-sides

About the joke at 47:11 the game is about writing something on the card that they stick to their foreheads and the person with the card can't say the word is written. In this case they wrote the word "hyung" that means like "big brother" a fondly way to refer an older person. So, when I.M (who is the youngest) refer to the rest of them he always use the word hung, in a respectful way to call them, but in the game he can't say that word (of course he don't know what is written on the card) so when he says it he recieves a hit. That why he said: how I supposed to treat you, guys? Sorry for my english

So our wonho left and it’s hard for us to talk about. Because it was really unfair to him. But I don’t know if you see this women who is well known with ruining male idols lives or not. I think some of her victims was TOP from big bang and I can’t remember if another was from IKON or not but where was quite a few people she went after. And wonho ended up being another of her victims. I want to say she tried to go after shownu to but thaf didn’t work. But with wonho rumors of drug use was started, possibly not paying money back and owing a lot of money. I don’t know if he made the decision to leave or if starship told him to leave. But the biggest thing that I have heard was he left himself because he knew what he would have to endure. And monsta x was getting huge at that time and he didn’t want monsta x to go down with him. So he left the group he laid low for ten months and he was strongly investigated. And he was found innocent of everything. And us monbebe stuck with him through it all. I think Korean monbebe also went to starship and literally covered the building with notes begging for him back. After everything is now under a smaller company within starship. If he’s still with them. And his fandom name wenee ifs like the saying we need. I can’t wait to see you react to them more. They do have a storyline. It’s the dramarama storyline. Which by the way that’s to this day still my favorite song by them.

I'd check out the time travel lore/storyline together which includes: Dramarama, The Connect: Music Film, and Find You. There are other connections to other MVs (shoot out, follow, alligator and fantasia) but none as "plot heavy" just easter eggs. All In is a special one for me, its the MV that made me stan them, I just thought the story and acting was SO well done, story can be a little convoluted but once you get it, you get it. I can't wait until you start checking out some albums though, the gold (for me personally) is in their b-sides. Their albums always have such a high quality of music, I've never come across a song that felt like a "throw away".
Active duty enlistment is shorter than public worker enlistment. Example Wonho left beginning december 2022, he’s out sept 4th this year, so he’s done longer as it’s public service he’s doing. That’s due to medical conditions, Wonho had old injury from years doing taekwondo

Welcome to the fandom 💜 been a fan since debut and I've seen them the two times they came to Spain + Wonho for his solo concert and they are amazing lives (the second time was even better because we were in VIPs so we were in like 2nd/3rd rows and got a lot of interactions + the high fives afterwards). Also we met casually Jooheon on the street and he was such an angel,signing for us even though the staff was telling him to go.
Wonho was my bias (he's one of my ultimate) now I'm stuck between I.M and Hyungwon,they've been an issue for years
I find that their variety shows are literally the best! Probably because I am biased lol but I watch other groups shows and they are not as good as MX. I would also recommend watching their behind the scenes footage. (Recordings, dance practice, photoshoots)

mx is going to be 9y.o group this year, so they have lots of music and LOTS of contents. you can catch up slowly and I believe you won't get bored. if you want to know more about the members, I suggest you to watch their individual guides (from chaena, if I remember correctly). they're quite old guides, but most of the info is still relevant. if you need good laugh, you can watch their variety shows (Monsta X-Ray is like a must one).
I was there when wonho left. it was in the beginning of Follow promotion. and it was October 31st, so for mbbs (especially those who experienced it) that Halloween was the real definition of 'scary' and 'devastating'. mx continued the album promotion until the end, even went to year-end awards and festivals. but after that they had long break. so did wonho. many ppl here already said that they don't really interact in public bcs starship (or whoever) don't allow them. and the closest ot7 moment we have was when they recently attended a sse's staff wedding (before they enlisted) and they were in the same frame 😭😭 it was so precious....

Hyungwon without his hair looks so young, it's like he's going to the military at 14. I will say, it breaks my heart a little to see Wonho all by himself, because he bore the consequences for something that, even if it was true, which it was proven not to be, would actually show how much harder he had to work than anyone else to get where he is today. Wonho himself has talked about how dire circumstances were at home, since he said on the survival show that if he did not place, he would have to go home and start working to help support his mom, so even if he had been smoking weed to deal with the stress, I don't think I could judge.

They're done with the korean age thing but since they celebrate lunar new year,they considered those born before that as if they were born the year before. So most idols born in the beginning/mid january are considered born in the year before

Wonho left amid a controversy about him taking pot as a teenager and a bit more (complicated ) he left the group as not to harm their popularity..very selfless…later proven he did nothing wrong!
