Have been playing through the trilogy with my 6 year old daughter recently, I showed her how the games looked 20 years ago when I was 6 and played them and explained how back then that looked as good to me as this does today and she just couldn't believe the difference. Spyro is life.
Kae McSpadden I follow the artist who designed the dragons (super nice guy), and he shows off concept art. It’s interesting to see how far we came from just the dragons being simple voice and color swaps to having distinct appearances
@Jacopo Cesselli I played and own the original trilogy but Reignited was certainly the best and the only way to play Spyro. Such creativity was put into these games and it truly shows, Reiginted is a love letter to the fans but also the original three games
For those who struggle with gliding here’s some hot tips: Actually hold down jump for a second rather than tapping it, it makes a huge difference in the height you get. Try jumping while charging at the same time then glide at the top of your jump, you’ll get further range. Practice over and over again hitting glide at the very top of your jump. Do this on the ground rather than from a ledge where you’ll waste time and lives. Make sure both Spyro and the camera are facing the exact direction you want to go. Adjusting direction mid flight shortens your range. Hope this helps.

@@Alpha-omega-beginning-and-end Yes but with the same graphics as these ones. Year of the dragonfly would've been so good....but it turned out horribly wrong
@@wyattatkinson7322 yes because crash spins and breaks boxes while spyro shoots flames and collects gems to save dragons, clearly this is a knock off how dare they.
Alot of love went into these remakes. Spyro the Dragon was one of the first console games I've ever played. In fact it was the first PlayStation game I've ever played. Almost brings a tear to my eye.
Him and Crash were my first video games, the first Spyro game came out the year I was born, and “Warped” (My favorite Crash game from the 90’s) also came out the year I was born.
Now THIS is what a remaster looks like. The 90s feel of it is missing but not bad at all. As a guy who compulsively played this numerous times in a row, the enemies and gems are exactly where they were in the original
True, but in the original Spyro 3, there were some additional enemies that were removed in the remaster, and Cloud Spires is a great example of that event.
While watching the walkthrough, it is impossible not to think right now that the game looks very beautiful. And this is achieved not only, and not so much, due to the technical level of the picture, but thanks to the competent work of the artists. And well-chosen colors.
The graphics are absolutely gorgeous. The sound affects are satisfying, and its a great game!! I have all three of the old ones, I'm hoping to get this one to!!
@@BriannaBow Its a remake not a remaster, remasters usually only include bug fixes and graphical upgrades in order to make it playable (and more importantly to them purchasable) in the modern day. I always dreaded Beastmakers and by extension the levels connected to that homeworld...it was Treetops and Wildflight...I could never beat either of them on my own.

Can’t wait for Tuesday! My sisters had already pre-ordered it from GameStop for the PS4. I’m already crying tears of joy from seeing Spyro the Dragon in this walkthrough.
This remake/remaster of Spyro 1 is fantastic. The long-distance gliding feels a bit off (a tad worse than the original), but aside from that it plays so good. The graphics and music; being able to switch between the original and remastered soundtrack is so cool, and being able to use Sparx to find missing gems saves a lot of time. Great stuff! I've just done a 120% playthrough and finished with 65 lives... I've played this game way too many times, lol
I’m back to this video for more nostalgia, but I just wanna say one thing: I still love the fact the voice of SpongeBob (Tom Kenny) is the voice for Spyro.
The end with all the purple 25 gems was SO satisfying!! What a dream lol. I always wanted to know what was in Gnasty’s Loot because I could never complete the game.

Somehow I never realized there was a key to the locked chest in Magic Crafters. I always supercharge jumped into the alcove to break it. Doing things the hard way lol
I remember hating those blue guys with eggs, I could never catch them as a kid! My goodness this brings back so many fun memories, I’m definitely picking this up as soon as I can.
3:07 I think I recall when playing the original version, closer to when it came out, having lost Sparx when Delbin asked Spyro what his (Sparx's) purpose was, and thought Spyro's unsure reaction was because Sparx wasn't there anymore.
@ 2:05:00 - Though they are hard to see here, the Dragon-Eating Plants definitely look great. They may not be as big as the ones seen in the original, but they are every bit as formidable and frightening. Unlike the ones in the original, when they crouch low and shake there’s no audible rattling of their leaves. This makes them scarier because you don’t know when they will attack. That, and their eyes are bulged out and more feral, like a starved predator, compared to the plain evil glare of their old selves. Also, the idea of using two broken roots to make the front fangs was a clever idea on the part of Toys for Bob. Gotta give them credit for bringing these infamous beasts back to the silver game screen. I might even build a lego version of this remastered enemy. I have all the right parts to do so. I'm excited to get my own copy on Tuesday. I already completed the original PS1 trilogy when I was a teenager, so I'm sure the Reignited Trilogy will be a piece of cake for me.

I don’t ever think I can forget going through all the magic crafters levels for the first time as a young kid these games are so precious to me I’ll play them forever man!!! 😍😍😍😍
Don't have a PS4, unfortunately, so I can't buy or play this just yet, but I am having my roommate play the original games all the way through for the first time. It's interesting to see him in a position I haven't been in since I was between the ages of six and eight: failing a lot in levels and dying so many times. Obviously, I was once there myself, so I'm definitely not saying that in a bad way, but it is weird to see him like that, since it's pretty much how I once was. This looks amazing, and I can't wait to play it!
The music from the Dark Hollow level make me shed tears cuz it brings me back memories of the original game I use to play but didn't get to complete everything 😢
Gnorc Cove might be my favorite spyro level among all three games, I loved messing with and pranking these guys, I used to light TNT barrels right before they picked them up.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy!:)

Im so hype to play this game *^*!!!
Dam, the graphics on this, Look Amazing. This game brings back SOOO many memories
I'm 12 right now and I remeber playing the shadows map and god it brings so much nostalgia
Man, the nostalgia is real, just like with Crash Bandicoot last year.
I just got this yesterday!
Better than most modern games...
Baconcatboy u don’t understand I played this shit like 9 years ago
What do you mean video games are still fun lol
I am disappointed in one little detail, I miss the "Gems flying around" while traversing between levels. Besides that the game looks amazing :)
The music from the Dark Hollow level make me shed tears cuz it brings me back memories of the original game I use to play but didn't get to complete everything 😢
Talk about burning blast from the past!
The moment when you bet the boss and think okay that was ? I love this game 😁
The nostalgic tears are real with this one
This looks freaking amazing... O.O Like being inside the game. Good lawd!!
Damn niles is TALL AF.
Omg the cake
Woah, you can beat this in 4 hours? Neat, I won’t have anything to worry about!
Love this 😍
Argus is My all time FAVORITE Dragon!
I'm a pretty big fan of Zane from the Magic Crafters world. I don't know why, there's just something about him I can relate to...
Gnorc Cove might be my favorite spyro level among all three games, I loved messing with and pranking these guys, I used to light TNT barrels right before they picked them up.
You are truly a pro🙂🔥
I honestly can't recognise the levels anymore in the remake.
It's great! Because it feels like I'm playing a new spyro campaign.
