      @Gingersnaps_the_pumpkin_kitty 9 месяцев назад +1

      Eh, I will say as a woman I actually do think we should quit talking about pregnancy like it has any sure outcomes.
      She means it as an insult, BUT refusing to talk about miscarriages just hurts women who do miscarry more.
      Being aware of your risks and possible outcomes can help you brace incase anything does happen and acknowledging it helps those who have had them feel more normal.
      Because that is normal, incredibly normal.
      Being a bit more open medically speaking is what I mean, not insulting people's fertility.

    • @RyanYewell
      @RyanYewell 9 месяцев назад

      I'm not saying don't talk about miscarriages, I'm saying there is a difference between talking about miscarriages, and saying someone specifically could/might have one.
      Miscarriages are common, but you don't say to a pregnant woman "hey you could/will have a miscarriage if..." You say things like "such and such increases the risk of miscarriage."
      Just like you don't talk about the potential OUTCOME of kidnappings/etc. with parents, you talk about things to be done to mitigate risks to protect their kids.

    • @KateeAngel
      @KateeAngel 2 года назад +18

      Yeah and actually having babies in 40s wasn't that rare historically, when women reproduced up to menopause. Nowadays many just consciously choose not to have babies that late. But most women are still capable of giving birth at 40-45, and some even later

    • @anastaciazara1787
      @anastaciazara1787 2 года назад +13

      @@KateeAngel That's not really true. Half of women are effectively infertile at 40.5yo, which makes sense because the average age of menopause is 51yo and most women become effectively infertile 10 years before entering menopause. I don't think that it was historically common for women to continue to conceive all the way up until menopause. Historically, the average age of last pregnancy was around 38-40yo, with very few births occurring after 42-43yo. By 45, pretty much all women are effectively infertile. There are exceptions, but they are rare. What I object to in Freelee's comment is the implication that women who are struggling to conceive in their 40s need only switch to a fruititarian diet in order to be a bastion of fertility, which is complete garbage.

    Usually when people have a gene problem with B vitamins, it’s called MTHFR gene expression. It means that you have to take methylated B12 and folate, and you can get very ill from taking regular B12. And then you have to make sure that all your other B vitamins are without regular B12 and folate. There’s a supplement called B minus which has all the vitamins minus the ones that the genes can’t Change into the methylation version, because genes are what create enzymes so it’s actually a deficiency in the enzyme. This would also mean that it’s very dangerous to take in grains or other foods that are enriched with B vitamins.

My first pregnancy, I had no nausea and craved coffee constantly after cutting down to safe levels, and the pregnancy stopped developing around 8 weeks. My second pregnancy, there were entire weeks where I couldn’t stomach coffee, and now I have a healthy 8 month old. Thanks to you, I tried the Butler curls. I failed the first time, but man I have it down now! My dad who is not vegan asked me to make another batch next time I come over. The buffalo style is his favorite tho garlic sounds amazing.

    Cereal got me through a lot of tough times, but I do genuinely enjoy eating it. The pecan one is SO GOOD! The best granola cereal, yum!

    I agree. As you get older, a little meat on you makes you look younger IMO.

    I feel bad for freelee in how durian rider is harassing her. It’s inappropriate and I wish her some privacy and peace from him

    I would never have a meal of fruit, or even a snack. Even when fruit is particularly delicious I know I need to have at least a handful of nuts or I won't be satisfied and will be hungry again soon. Usually I eat fruit with or after every meal or snack.

    I stopped eating bananas with spots after starting a home compost. Now they just smell like compost to me...

      Maybe she's seeing this diffrent. Like I remember when I was on a much lower weight that I'm right now (I'm actually overweight now and need to lose it) but the thing I saw was an overweight person even though I was on a healthy weight. I now look at pictures of me from that period and I wonder what was wrong with me. It's not an excuse though for Freelee for promoting unhealthy standards just a little context Maybe.

    I agree with everything in this video except for the title. You didn't demonstrate that Freely doesn't care about babies, just that she's clueless about health and nutrition. I have no love for Freely, but I like that you *usually* avoid being needlessly inflammatory--no need to stoop to her level.

    I am actually addicted to caffeine. Ive gone 11 days, unwillingly, without caffeine and it was hell. Yea I'd rather stay addicted...

    Also having a child over 40 isn't a good thing. it comes with its own sense of issues simply due to the age. Do you need to be EXTRA CAREFUL with your pregnancy

    Freelee was one of the many influences that fueled my disordered eating. I'm so embarrassed to admit that I followed her for years and for whatever reason looked to her as some kind of authority on health. It took her making a video on Robin Williams right after he committed suicide in 2014, and blaming his non-vegan diet for his mental state, that finally helped me see how offensively, self-righteously full of crap she is. At best, she's done terrible things for the vegan community and turned a lot of people off entirely. But I shudder to think of all the people who've been sucked in by her rhetoric and wrecked their health and lives even worse than I did taking her advice. I'm sorry Swayze has had to deal with Freelee's nonsense and borderline bullying over the years.

      I shouldn't be suprised that Freelee blames Robin Williams diet for his suicide and mental Health, but still. She's at this point Has a mentality of anti-vegans who blames vegan/vegetarian diets for peoples mental illness and disorders only on a opposite side. I think Freelee is bad for veganism, it's good that she at least is not anti B12 supplements.
