Brian the razors that you are sponsoring they are the best razors that anyone can use on whatever body parts you want to use on your shades last so much longer you keep sponsoring Harry's and I'll keep buying them thank you
Hi Carolyn, thank you for the comment! I agree, Harry's has really great razors and I've been very pleased with the performance. No more razor burn for me!
I remember last winter, when all of the wind in the world was coming through that camping area. Nice view of Harvard though. I summited Harvard on Labor Day weekend, in 1988 with my climbing buddy. I ran into a stewardess who worked for TWA just below the peak who was from my old hometown. She was the sister of a friend of mine. Small world. You need a cabin setup like that, but just a little bigger for an inclusion of a wood stove. Put that puppy on five acres and you'll have a good spot for hard wall winter camping. Well, take care Brian. Vaughn
The fires have gotten bad in Washington too. We have many of our own fires, but then get smoke from california and Oregon also. Recently our AQI was over 200, smoke so thick that trees 10 feet away were hazy and leaves sprinkled with soot. It smelled like a week old wet ash tray. Other parts of the state got much worse (300+ AQI in cheney and 600 around Tri Cities). I’ve never been so happy to see rain in the hopes that it will prevent more fires and knock the smoke down. Anyway, love that little cabin and hope you are able to stay in areas with at least decent air quality! peace
I absolutely love that little cabin. What a beautiful setting. I could see living in that for a few months in the summer. Put up a little shower house next to it and you would be all set. Maybe some solar panels and that big clear door. You’ve got my brain spinning with ideas now. Looks awesome Brian. Cheers my friend. ❤️
Sierra was giving me the sad eyes our first evening when I was getting ready for bed without her so I invited her up and she snuggled right in. Such a great companion, I love her so much!
Such a peaceful life you have. Loved watching Sierra run to keep up with you to get water. I used to take my dog out on dirt roads and she’d follow me in my truck. It was fun and great way to spend her energy. She was a happy chocolate lab. ✌️ 🐾
Found your channel less than a week ago! Really enjoying your videos, especially the tent camping in snow maybe a week ago. Very cool! Love Sierra & the amazing bond you have with her! Just subscribed. 👍
Pretty cool. Love the opening wall that converts to covered deck! Bummer about the smoke. We’ve been choking on it for a couple weeks down here in Southern Oregon. Looks like they are getting a handle on them now though. Thanks for sharing this cool cabin! -Robert
Maybe an old tire inner-tube over the wall hinge or some kinda flexible rubber & maybe a Greenhouse sunshade over the wall when it's in the open position make it where u can roll it up or down
Good to see you adding organic grains and coconut products to your diet ! GMO corn and soy are in everything and the worst for digestion ! You should try organic coconut milk or cream in a PBA free can which would really sustain you for heat in the Winter ! Great video as always !
Brian, when you quickly showed "moths" on 2nd floor, I was fairly sure what kind they are . . . especially, when you showed the mountain view out of that 2nd floor window with all the "Miller dirt" on the glass. Those Millers come through this area south of Cheyenne WY, too., on their way west to the mountains. I actually have a live miller on my wall right now. Better one than 6 or 7 of them flying around my light as they did some months back. Millers! No fun at all and were really bad this year.
I love any A frame. I grew up in one on the beach in Rockport Texas. Hope you’re doing well. Did you find out about the weight loss or did I miss that video? Stay safe and warm😁
I love the idea of this micro cabin. This just my opinion, don't you think that opens up should've been a permanent structure for space purposes? It would've been easier for sleeping etc
kinda fun to mention that yoghurt and corn flakes are gluten free... of course they are... gluten comes from wheat and such... corn is not wheat, oats is not wheat... and yoghurt definetly isn't wheat ;-) btw. your blueberries are glutenfree too ;-) love the cabin and it is an amazing area with great views for sure :D
Wow i love this video. Ohhh my goush i bet it's so beautiful at night. Truely you are blessed.amen And place your staying in wow how awesome is that by the way cool turbine. But like like the hat 👍
I think it would awesome if that was on a trailer and could be towed anywhere. I got the idea from your video with elsa and barons scamp. I think it could be built so the outside deck folds inside while traveling. The table could fold up to cover the window. Just a traveling shelter.
@@OffGridBackcountryAdventures I've been thinking it could be made on top of a lightweight trailer out of square metal tubing. The deck could fold inside under the awning. And instead of clear plastic roofing use solar panels instead for the awning. I think that would be a cool trailer
Appreciate your great videos. Wonderful adventures, I envy your lifestyle and love for Sierra Leaving political and religious opinion out is magical - you deliver such positive content which is badly needed. Thank You so much and stay safe. *Finally cooling off in Indianapolis - I’m a cold weather person and enjoyed your snowfall vids last week*
This is very cool. I’m pretty new to your channel and I was wondering do you ever stay in a house with a bathroom and shower (maybe a friends or family)? I’m just curious because I love watching your videos and others but I’m so dependent on my home base. I wish I had more courage to try things like this.
Hi Annie, welcome to my channel! No, I don't really ever stay with friends...maybe one or two nights a year at the most. I really enjoy being 100% self sufficient with showering and bathroom needs out here. The solar shower on my truck is awesome (currently heating up so I can shower...woohoo!) and I dig either cat holes for human waste or I use Clean Waste PETT bags with are Leave No Trace approved and do a great job sealing up human waste by encasing it in gel. They are approved to be disposed of in the dump so that's what I use while winter camping since the ground is frozen solid and digging cat holes isn't an option. If you have any other questions then just let me know! Have a great start to your weekend ~ Brian
Off-Grid Backcountry Adventures thanks Brian. It’s obvious you have this whole winter camping 🏕 thing down. I’ve never even gone, what you would probably consider pretend camping at a camp resort with cabins and bathrooms. I’m such a comfort snob but for some reason I’m so interested in your videos. They are so enjoyable to watch. Maybe someday I’ll take the plunge but for now I’m totally enjoying living through your videos. Keep on keeping on and thanks for sharing.
I've bearded for most of my adult life because I just couldn't stad dealing with razors. I decided to shave my beard off and I'd been hearing good stuff about HARRY's, so I bought a razor and I may never grow a beard again. I almost always retain my moustache, but the rest of my face, neck, etc Loves Harry's as well ~ ~ ~ ~ Ol' Scooter in East Texas, signing off...
The snow melted within 2-3 days. It went from snow to 85 degrees by the end of that week. It did help the fires here in CO and they are getting contained. However, we're getting the smoke from Oregon and Cali.
Hi Craig, thanks for subbing! I'm actually planning to stay in my 4 season tent with a wood stove this winter. REALLY looking forward to the season starting up! ~ Brian
Hi Nathan, I use netbuddy.co for my unlimited high speed hotspot (well, high speed is capped at 800GB per month but I never get close to using it). He is almost always sold out but will periodically post on his website when he plans to release more bandwidth. I've had a great experience with the service, nice not needing to drive to town for uploads.
Well, the snow has now melted but I do have some footage about breaking down the tent. Everyone seems to have questions on how I set it up so I'll include that in a future video. Thanks for watching, Akhil! All the best ~ Brian

Hi...from India 🙏
Didn't see any comments about cabin plan/build. Do you know the dimensions?
Did the snow not help in co?

Curious question, do you know where one could get the blueprint/design for that small cabin?
here you go, this guy is the one who created this cabin design and has a bunch of other stuff on his channel ruclips.net/user/relaxshacksDOTcom
