Beautiful sound!
And the key of mid position is very interesting, like a wah effect!!
Played one of these at guitar center. It was euphoric.
I fell in love with ibanez basses back when I bought a bean bass, now I own an 86 4 string natural sdr1000 and a fieldy 5 string , I would definitely wanna play/buy the 4 string here, great basses, great tone and great price.
Those pickups sound amazing!
Nordstrands.
Amazing sound !
I really love that Ibanez soundgear tone too (and the body shape and weight are the most comfortable things I've ever tried !)
That’s a really great sounding bass. The sound however is also in the hands of this really tasty player, I really enjoyed that. From 1.37....sounds so nice👍
This is an excellent bass guitar
A Soundgear with no fret buzz. Truly we live in a time of miracles.
pCeLobster fret Buzz is mostly a matter of setup if you ask me. it's not particularly part of any model I'd say
pCeLobster there's always that guy who don't even know what he's talking about. BTW, Musicman have a massive fretbuzz on their basses but they sound great in their ways
Ibanez SDGR line has been around for a longtime for a reason. You must’ve not had it setup properly.
@@IZU-ee5jvMy Gio has no fret buzz ;)
I played a four-string Ibanez like this model for for a period of time in my high scool jazz band. Even from my perspective as a freshman playing bass for about a year, it was pretty awesome and had the kinds of tones I loved. Too bad my band director only lets me use it for practices these days... :/
I own the Ibanez sr2605 and I absolutely love it. If you want a more P sound just switch to passive and dial it towards the neck. Go active and dial it towards the bridge and you have a nasty nasaly tone. Leave it in the middle and a nice beefy growly tone. That being said it always has it's own voice. This bass is sensitive like a Musicman Stingray and will expose the crap out of mistakes and if you dont mute strings your not playing they will ring out. It can also quite easily stand out in mix.
I have an Ibanez Sr 1200 Ntf and it sounds great! very lightweight and many regolation and sounds possibility
I tried giving my Ibanez EX404 away to a guy that got his equipment stolen and I never heard back , I have no idea how much it's worth , I paid $300 back in 1986 , it needs rewiring.
René you're going to get me to go out and buy a new bass I dont need but want showing me all these nice new bass guitars , that Ibanez is really nice. I came real close to owning a Sire bass.
Keren banget.. Salam fans brooo..
Sounds amazing
It's got a great tone. Good for rock!
The tone, Erma gherd, the tone.
Looks and sounds great was the amp flat? it must sound great threw a big pa system and very clean tones .
we didn't use an amp here, but a bit of room reverb on some samples
I wish I was good enough to demo my bass on your channel.
I wish I was good enough to demo my bass on your channel.
***please do a video of that ibanez agbv205 in the back!***
Sabe muito, muito mesmo
I saw a darker brown version of this bass, but it was listed as made in Japan. Is there any difference?
The premium is not Made in Japan, but the Prestige line is Made in Japan.
I'm that in love with these I'd even trade my Mayones for one
How much do you get this one? It sounds so sick! \m/
it is safe to play with the frequency switch like that?
Are these basses more comfortable / easier to play than $400 Ibanez basses?
While the 400$ are a bang for the buck, I can tell you by owning the 4 strings shown right here that they feel real great with the slim profile wenge/bubinga neck and the round edge fret treatment. And soundwise, even if this demo sounds good, you've heard nothing until you tried one !
the same as the Ibanez premius series (unless 3way middle switch)
What's the difference between this bass and the Ibanez Premium SR2400 - Florid Natural Low Gloss? Just the fancier finish?
I cant reference anymore on the Ibanez sight because they changed them. If I remember correctly almost the same but a couple different woods and the 2605 has a pretty top wood. I'm almost certain the pickups are exactly the same but preamp might be slightly different. I have played the the 2405 and own the 2605. They feel the same but the 2605 sounded a little darker in good way to me. Both are amazingly comfortable and easy to play but the string spacing is less than normal so me plucking on the 5 string with big hands is a little cramped but that probably wouldnt matter with the 4 string. If your interested I would buy one asap as they come with Aguilar pickups now. I own a Lakland skyline55-02 and love it but the 2605 is my favorite I have ever played or owned.
@@jasonz1771 Just bought the SR2400 last month. Already posted some video playing it. Aguilar pickups sound good indeed!
@@BladeJones mine has the Nordstrand big singles. Sounds totally different than yours. Both sound great. If you ever need to warm it up try the Sansamp tech21. Ibanez is truly underappreciated by the bass snobs lol.
Wenge/Bubinga neck...That's why it sounds a bit like a Warwick!
Meanwhile I can't get a sense how this sounds with that wet mid-range sound while plucking way back near the bridge because
cool
Do you get any hum with both pickups equal?
The hum is canceled out when both pickups are active
how many hands does this guy have? strumming the string, pressing a fret and moving the switch at the same time O.o how ? lol
the audio is clipping my homie
This video is old my homie
these basses sound unreal pluged into just a cheap audio interface
Nice, but can you play Cannibal Corpse ?
Wrong channel, mate :)
Not really, i honestly think these basses are better designed for heavier stuff. Don't get me wrong, this type of music is fine but i'm so sick and tired of looking for Ibanez basses and coming across people who only play some funk or whatever. What about rock, metal, reggae and others? If people played these genres of music aswell their reviews would have been better, but my reply was probably pointless anyway
Aw, actually it was a joke, bc "Nice, but can you play XXXX?" is the standard reply in the Davie504 bass channel.
And I agree completely with you. Sadly, in most metal genres the bass is lost in the mix, and it would be nice to try some basses with dirt pedals.
BTW, Lacuna Coil's bassist plays exclusively with an Ibby SR3005, similar to the 1305 above
Oh lol, i had no idea you were referring to Davie xD
I don't know Lacuna Coil tho, but its good to know that their bassist has got such an amazing bass
I like it!
But,EQsection no need
I like Ibanez but something sounds wrong when it comes to the SLAPPING Sound !
I used to think my SDGR SR05 was great. Having now played Warwick basses I realise that lightweight basses like the Ibanez, sound lightweight. Pity coz they do feel good.
I agree. Maybe I should have said that Warwick's have more growl. But you're right about neck diving. All my Warwick's are a little neck heavy (strap connector lines up with 14-15 fret), but none as bad as the Thumb.
I have one for sale if anyone is interested if you want to get one for a deal
I never understood why Ibanez makes all their basses with that big dark strip down the middle of the body. The basses aren't neck-thru, and it just looks tacky. I'd much rather just have a nice, natural swamp ash cap on there.
all of sound is in your fingers )))
You are not lying sir. Technique tells the tale.
Yep I would go along with that
Ibanez makes some beautiful Basses however none of them seem to have any character, such a stearyl sound.
Bass Player what are you talking about?
you mean u want bass coloration
that sucks
@@javierherrera8782 Like you would have some kind of idea -fan boy
@@Bass.Player i've recorded in some of the greatest studios in the world. What have you done? I bet you never even recorded in a small one hahahahha poor boy
@@javierherrera8782 You would be very wrong AGAIN! Leave it alone your starting to look like an idiot...
I just cant pay that much for a bass made in Indo. If it was MIJ Id buy ome right away
Please cut this horrible barb !
I think it sounds horrible, noway that would sit in the mix of a band comfortably at all.
It got a sound that cuts through. Great for keeping up with the guitars.
Im not even talking about cutting through the mix, im talking about satisfying the ears of the listener. You need those bass frequence. this high treble sound dosen´t support a band very well. This is not the sound you would want in a studio mix or even at a live show. In my
As a bass player who likes to hear all the harmonic frequencies of the strings, I have to differ. I guess that's why tone controls exist, so we can all be happy.
youre entitled to your opinion but im pretty sure you know what youre saying
Well im more talking about the function of bass in a mix, if you are playing with a band there is a certain role you are expected to fulfill, which is provide the lowend, having a strong bass tone which alot of low frequencis allows you to be heard and more importantly allows the harmony to be set. That is my experience from playing.
