  • This video showcases the 1672 Tarot de Marseille deck known as the François Chosson Tarot of 1736. This deck was recently published by Tarot Sheet Revival (Sullivan Hismans).
The deck was printed as early as 1672 by Guillaume Sellon as evidenced by the GS on the Chariot card and the date 1672 on the 2 of coins. It was printed at least between the dates of 1672 and 1736.
After showing each card I do a demonstration reading towards the end of the video.
    Enjoy!!

You didn't tell me about the ring! This is super news "Yay!!" Maybe the emperor looking at the selection was simply telling you to not give up looking as you'll find it. . . Lovely deck and look forward to the comparison. Congratulations on the baby boy news . . .

I figured I'd just reveal it in a video. Yeah, that Emperor threw me, since my husband isn't admitting any part of its reappearance. I may never know.

It's a wonderful production, as one can always expect from Sullivan Hismans - I am so jealous :D
I think you might have seen by now my little family tree of this line of the Sellon Family of cardmakers we think is connected with this deck [there are other branches] which I posted in the tarot history group, for the information of any of your viewers who may not have seen it and may find it of interest:
As well as the initials GS on the Chariot, the name Francois on the 2 of coins appears to be engraved by a different hand and fits more naturally within the ribbon, than the surname Chossson, suggesting that only the surname has been changed to Chosson. As you note in Marseille at the period we have the Master Cardmaker Guillaume Sellon, but we may als note that he had a son, also a Master Cardmaker, Francois Sellon; from which it has been suggested that the name on the two of coins prior to Francois Chosson, was that of Francois Sellon.
Of this line of the Marseille Sellon family of cardmakers we have:
Guillaume Sellon I [whose daughter Marguerite married Philippe Vachier - whose recently discovered deck is now our earliest surviving complete deck of the Type I pattern] ; then his son Jean Sellon ; then his son Guillaume Sellon II, & his two sons Francois and Simon. Guillaume II's grandson by Simon, Claude Francois Sellon, marries the granddaughter of Philippe Vachier [from his second marriage], Marianne Vachier, great great step-niece of Guillaume I.

It's very clean and clear. Definitely my favorite version of the Chosson, though I try not to pick favorites since I love them all.

Oh, I didn’t know you had a deck moratorium, Marilyn! And the choice of this treasure of GS Chosson can not be more perfect!! 🥰💛
I received my copy #2 of it a couple of days ago, and I too opened it on the camera! Because it is more fun to unwrap such delicate treasures with friends! 🥰
I actually haven’t used tarot for finding an item! I should watch that video of yours and give it a go! You ring must have wanted to test you and your reading accuracy! Love it! ❤
3rd grandchild! How exciting, Marylin! So happy for you and your family!!

Hello Mascha! Thank you for watching. I've done three readings on finding lost items, and after each reading, I found the items within a few hours! And each time the items had been missing at least a month and I exhausted every book and cranny. The results have been uncanny. Maybe I'll create a playlist for lost items videos. xoxo ~ Marilyn

@@kathykerr1202 Yeah, I can't quite figure out the Emperor angle either. I thought maybe it was referencing my husband somehow, but that does not appear to be the case.

Maybe she adores you n your husband so much, she wants a big, pretty ring like yours!

@kathykerr1202 Aww, it could be. She gives her parents a hard time because she apparently wants to come over nearly every day. She definitely likes my jewelry. She's always touching whatever jewelry I've got lying around, and sometimes I let her wear it. I'm sure when I pass on, a few pieces of my jewelry will go to her for sure! Thank you for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn
