  • Just got my new Parkside Performance impact driver PDSSAP 20 LI B2. Its quite different from it's predecessor. Lets compare them, tear them down and see the difference in the internal components. After that lets do some torque test with both machines.

    I like the way you put the machines apart.
    You show us what's inside.
    Keep going like this.
    Very good job.
    That's why I smash the like button

    I think it would be useful to test them as a driver, with screws, in wood, preferably something hard.

    I did a full set of wheel replacement with the old one with a milwaukee 1/4" adapter and a 17mm impact bit and it was able to remove all lugbolts without any issues whatsoever. I am not exactly impressed with the new one, so the old one stays.

    As I see, they have made a thinner brushless motor which means it will be less powerful.
    But they seem to have increased its diameter so as not to change the power or so it seems to me

    looks like you got one of the first batch of the second generation impact which almost all were defective. you should return it and get another one which is very consistent

    Hallo Sir, such adapters are not designed for this applied force - may check the in DIN list ( which I do not have at hand at moment) - from my memory such shaft adapter are around 70NM in the DIN books

    So which one is the the best A1 or b2 which do you recommend?
    I'm going to buy one of these but I'm unsure, I heard the A1(older) is more powerful, but I do like the look of the new B2, and I heard you need to have at least the 4ah battery to stop any cutouts.

    • @icku
      @icku  2 года назад

      А1 if course. For the B2 there is big chance may be defective.

    The 120Nm new model doesn't work worse than the old one! IT IS NOT THE POINT THAT IF THE POWER IS MARKED IS 120Nm, HE SHOULD GIVE A POWER OF 200Nm. What, then, is the point of a weaker selection. It is intentionally made to be weaker if, for example, some small screws are screwed. MEANS THAT THE NEWER MODEL WORKS BETTER THAN THE OLDER. You need to correct that in the comment and in the video!
    And to insert the adapter into the new model you don't have to pull the handle, all you have to do is push it and it will go in

    • @icku
      @icku  2 года назад +1

      Well nope, the new one works worse. Check my new video 😉 And btw how do you release the bit on the new model?

    Hi! I just bought one of the new ones and it makes a "click" sound when you press the trigger, about in the middle or when you release it, yours makes the same sound? It's normal?
    I think mine does the same rattling sound that yours. Sounds like a bearing.

      Its the impact mechanisam , my green one dose it , it happens when you go from reverse to forwards , the next triler pull it spins backwards freely untill it hits the impact mechanisam , than it spins with it until it encounters sign ificat force . Ie , its all good

    Would be nice if you have the time to normalize the volume level when you post process and make the final edit on especially videos with tools that can sound loud. My girlfriend and/or my ears will thank you for that.
    That being said. Nice kinda in-depth video. I slowly beginning to believe that the engineers who make this tools have availability to make or get parts from Milwaukee shelf components. Only thing I think is that they cant get the software/IC right from them. That shows as the RPM en/or torque is not consistent.
    I really applaud Lidl for bieng the disrupter of tools industry who mark-up there machine 4x or so.
    And i becoming a fan/simp for there eco-system in tools and what not.
    Only couple critique points I have is there warranty resolving; there service is still good but when your machine is broken/defect and the season of tools are not in your favour then there is high change they refund you the money or part of it. Because fixing it take a lot of time if it is at all.. The production of there tools are so limited, it is evident because when you like for waranty replace a tool there is high change it is out of stock.
    And its getting worse, as a small portion of the buyers scalping more and more, which is evident of fast out of stock online and the reselling items scalpers prices on ebay or any local second hand selling site.
    Also, They sell in over more then 20 countries where for example Germany/Poland/Czech-republic have the online web-shop most often faster in stock and or longer items in stock. Whereas other countries webshop often don't have that item in stock...
    The whole stock is not back and forth communicated and they seem to operate individual of each other.... Which i can understand a bit, but its annoying.

    Nice video, but it looks like they cut some costs with this new model which is not as good as the first.Overall it's ok for the price but those weird power cut offs makes me not wanna buy this new model.It's a trend for them, first model is good then the second is bad, after that the third is good , then they make another one bad .......

    • @MarkizVonSchnitzel
      @MarkizVonSchnitzel 2 года назад +1

      It's not a power cut off per se, it's a weird sleep mode. Someone posted in another chanel that if you don't use it FOR 1 MINUTE, it goes to sleep, then when you press the trigger, this wakes it, and THEN it's ready to work. Very strange, but apparently it works as it's planned, it's not a fault.

      Can't really say. The old is stronger when the torque setting is 120Nm. But for 226Nm will have to do some more test, with better 1/4 to 1/2 adapter...

    I don't think Parkside Performance is worth the extra money tbh, for not much more you can get a true professional brand like Makita, Milwaukee or Dewalt.
    I have had the Parkside Performance drill, the chuck wasn't centred very well from factory so the drill bit moved off centre when spinning, which was causing it to break bits when drilling. So I returned it and would recommend to get Makita instead, their tools just feel like much higher quality tools for not much more money and they will last longer.

    • @MrZimmaframe
      @MrZimmaframe 2 года назад

      @@masterjack8222 In England £60 body only for parkside pro, Milwaukee £82.
      charger Parkside £12.99, Milwaukee £23.99 (and can charge smaller battery too so no need to buy second charger for the smaller 12v batteries which is normally another £12.99 from parkside)
      Parkside 4ah battery "£24.99 but doesn't work very well in 0c or below weather and is only rated for 250 charge cycles or £55 for Milwaukee 5ah and 1000 charge cycles...
      I have a lot of Parkside tools but can see the value of buying a professional grade tool.
