So I came out of the gate pretty negative, and I want to say that the intent is not yuck yums, or to hate for no reason. I love this series. I want it to live up to its potential. I think that the initial images they showed did not do the volumetric lighting justice. It does look more modern. I guess my frustration is that they are selling this as a major improvement worth buying a new edition of the game in order to experience, when in actuality this just brings it up to a standard that has existed in gaming for years already. here's a non-exhaustive list of what I would rather be sold on: 1. Built in VR 2. Hey, we simulate repairing / upgrading your tractors now rather than pressing a button, like real farmers have to, because we're making a simulator 3. Hey we no longer use archaic 2D simple map mechanics, and we have added meaningful physics simulation to the game rather than cheating with camera bob and power : weight equations. 4. Improved AI and more interactive animal husbandry - This is another button press feature that is a major part of farming. Animal births/sheep shearing/cow milking are major events/tasks/moments on any livestock farm, but glossed over in the game 5. Pest and predator control. Foxes got into the hen house? Maybe we need some hunting/trapping/guard animal mechanics to make the game more challenging and immersive I think a lot of people are really tired of getting 1 or 2 new crops and slightly more modern graphical improvements for $65
I agree Giants is reaching modern day game performance about 7 years behind everyone else. When a game company has almost 4 years of development between each release they would be more than enough time to develop to meet modern day games performance and visuals. That's is clearly proven in the video the presented showing zero Ray Tracing anywhere to be seen. When was Ray Tracing released? (March of 2019)
From a development standpoint, the rapid running stream clip is really exciting. Currently in Giants Engine, something like that would have to be a separate custom 3D asset. If the new version of the Engine can make dynamic flowing water on its own like that, it’s huuuge. I was a bit disappointed to see the generic exhaust cone coming out of the tractor while they were showing off the fog. I really hope the new fog systems also allow for some really cool dynamic exhaust and field working dust generation to be done.
This brightened my excitement even more. Really surprised by the continuous movement in physics; like water ripples, shadows, fog and more. The ferry is a great addition too. Hopefully modders will get access to that feature in editor. The “white” sheep that was closest to the road looked like it had longer hair. Although the appearance I saw in your live can be deceiving. I can’t wait to learn more about animals. Also I really liked the idea of raising your rice in greenhouse. After grown a bit, you move the rice to your harvester. That function of “transplanting” could be very interesting in the future of the game. Thank you so much @FSG for the LIVE. Glad, I caught some during my lunch break. Look forward to more 😀
Ive got a feeling we're getting 4x maps as well. That area they showed was fairly good size and theres supposed to be large fields on that map gotta be an area up higher from the river thats got all thr fields. They said 70 fields
I was wondering how they would do the rice. I grew up farming rice in southeast Arkansas. We still flooded the fields and had to use levees. If they added a watering system and levee system that would be awesome. Where you could add water to the fields then drain it off as needed.
Would be so easy to get drawn into an argument. Acknowledging them and respectfully addressing them is the way. Nicely done. Share your enthusiasm for the changes and looking forward to it FSG.

first of it is not just a little bit more polished version of FS22. Second, do you expect them to show the full gameplay in a teaser behind the scenes video right before they have the convention?
You honestly sound like someone who just complains for attention.
@@calebbranham6353 Honestly, I hate what a cash grab was FS 22 and it looks like the same case again. There was at least filed worker functioning properly in FS 19. Why is it still broken in FS 22? Why sorghum looks like 360x360p resolution? I don't think I am the only one disappointed here and I want Giant’s to know that. That is the only way to get a better game. We are in 2024. After 5 years we have got a fog and rice. No mud, no NPC, no animation, no story, no neighbor working on a filed and same sound of almost every vehicle? Is there going to be flying animals again? "Laggy" and "zippy" animation behind every tool and harvester. Looks like we get the same game with nice fog and rice. That is a shame for another 60 euro. (Just guessing.) If this is end up differently, I will apologize and buy the game... But we have got 20 minutes of talking about fog and rice. Sadly, don't think this is the case. Looks like the same game with same sterile dead environment surrounding you as a player.
Why not develop your own farming simulator, we are waiting
@@Someone-out-therethen stop playing lol
Do you honestly believe FS25 looks better than FS22? That a 3 year development on the engine produced that much of a change? I know your channel is based on FS series but come on, don't shill.
very dissapointed. LOVE FS but this is just a dissapointment. Same game engine just a few minor tweaks. Why are we still using 2D images and not 3D? First person needs a lot of work, The physics/Weight system needs a lot of work. Get away from the 2D Crops,Swaths and so on. I dont see the mud system what so ever you can still drive on gravel, dirt, "mud" and the best they can do is change the tire color when the machine gets "dirty". This is not worth the $65 or whatever there charging these days. I'm very dissapointed in Giants. There slowly becoming the next Call of Duty franchise..... SMFH
@@DeGroatRacing447 they already became a call of duty franchise from FS 17 until now
@@MultiSimPlayer6794 i started on fs19 so i was to new when fs22 came out to tell but your probably right
FSG: I'm not going to talk much during the stream
meanwhile every 30 seconds ... BLAH BLAH BLAH ... OMG THE REFLECTIONS ,,, OMG GPS YES GPS ... lol dude STFU
Haha, you could have watched the actual stream and wouldn't have had to listen to me 😂
stop talking over them want to hear them
selling the same shit over and over again.
No more money to them! Shame on you GIANTs!
Love it 👌
So far thats a big fat Yawn from me.
Sleep well 😉
@@TheFarmSimGuy Well to be honest apart from it looking prettier there isn't so far much to look forward to, Fog and shadows etc. Water is an improvement. But its the game and the actions within the game that matters and I haven't seen a leap forward in that from what I have seen!
Yeah agree I’ve not seen enough to form an opinion yet
Fs24 it's lame. It's more like a dlc
Agreed fs24 is so bad it doesn’t exist
@@TheFarmSimGuy strawman much?
@@TheFarmSimGuy fs25* my bad. But still lame. For year 2024. I played from fs08 till now all of them . But I don't buy it anymore until it's real something new
Ok
Must be a old gen player
Will it support VR in cab for all vehicles, but esp the forklifts and forestry ones?
I don't believe so
