Hello! Thanks for watching our video. Honestly i can't speak to much about alligator point, we've only been there the once, however I do know that the Gulf is very dependent on whatever storm is brewing. Typically the water clarity is very good. A lot also depends on the sand type as well, alligator point was very white soft sand. When this video was taken we were battling with lots of wind so the water was dirty. One other thing to remember, as we mention, although you can walk the whole beach, unless you are staying in the cottage or rentals you can't setup on the beach. It's reserved. Where we walked was the area for free parking. You'll love it though, it's absolutely gorgeous there!

I've been there 2x and are building a house there now. If you want blue/green water you need to get west of carrabelle river. The river dumps tannic water into St George Sound. All this flows east. But will all the added nutrients it is said to make the shellfish better. BE WARE THE SAND SPIKES!
