Very clean and precise. nice job. I want to get into this so deeply but I don't have any of the machines or tools. I've been building a large escapement gear out of wood and I'm sorta stuck on the teeth bit. Not really sure how to go about it.

Really nice work, your detail is amazing you explain the process of machining these teeth well. We like your we think 3 inch Craftsman Lathe.

Thanks guys…I’ve been enjoying your work as well…that 3”
Craftsman/Sherline lathe is a blast from the 1980’s…I’ve updated the
motor…and about every 3 years I replace the cross slide and I have a new tailstock
for it but as yet have not installed it…I have 5 lathes in my shop but that
little lathe gets used almost daily…I hope to make this clock with this lathe
but the fusee and the pendulum covers may need to be done on the Atlas… we’ll
      see.

I've been watching these kind of videos lately. I liked yours the best of the ones I have watched. I enjoyed the artistry of the photography and the process of laying out the gears. Are there still opportunities for production or prototype building for machine shops like this? I hope so.

Excellent work sir. Would you tell me where to get a marking tool like that shown here?

First thanks for stopping by...I often go to auctions and sometimes I end up buying a box of stuff...I did that some years ago and found 2 of those marking tools...I love them...but have no idea where they came from...bob

Well, I did not know you are a left hander....
Did you know, we are all born right handed, but only a few of us overcome it....
