Have to say your videos are a breath of Fresh air...im travelling to Scotland soon for a Photography two weeks so have been watching TONS of videos ...yours are fantastic...real...raw...not over edited ..and have given me TONS of info about what to expect...Your passion for life shines through ..thank you
They are both good on their own right...I miss berlingo for the slight roughing out experience...were as flair is all mod cons she's the penthouse so far for me...but the best memories are from when berlingo and I went to Scotland.. she was my security blanket ,always waiting for me to come back..
Nice set of videos I'm enjoying watching them! I like your accent it sounds like you are from my neck of the woods. A bit of advice on the shoes, buy some gaiters to cover the lower part of your calf and the top of the boot and eyelets because rain water will find a way inside even a waterproof boot. I've subbed you RUclips too! :-)
I think she needs a 30 watt solar panel on top of her van to eliminate having to scran power points in remote areas or she could run a capacitor bank with a 240v inverter to have free power all day long! Without draining her main battery down in the van, Just a wee suggestion. ;)
Very nice videos...quite daring to travel alone and stay overnight at such remote locations. It certainly has given me inspiration to try it out soon Have you tried this in winter.. also what's the experience like when it's pitch dark outside ...did u get out to see the stars ...does it not scare you if someone knocks the car in the middle of the night
Thankyou... And yes you must go and do these trips for yourself too.... I've done a fair few trips now, and walked out in the night no lights, winter camping etc.... Nothing has scared me as yet.... Being in the remote the least chances of being disturbed by people.... Parking up in town is way more chancy to get knocks on the door..
Hello... Its totally safe in remote areas the likely hood of someone looking for a bit of trouble out in the sticks is less than near built up areas... X
Well,..... its Scotland. But I think, you enjoy it. Even at bad weather. (But no one enjoys wet socks wearing.) Thank you to the campsite owner. For his support to you. In germany, a campground costs mostly 16,- Euro/day for a single person with his car (or else). Thats 12,80 Pounds (GB). But with modern shower and toilettes. But maybe you must pay for Wifi. (Free Wifi is very small in germany, because its difficult because of the german laws.) In France often only the half, or cheaper. But simple, like this campsite. So camping is cheaper in France. And you can get camping tools in most big supermarkets.
Cheap camping or standing free and wild - is very important for budget. When you are daily on the road you need much money for petrol only. In France the campgrounds are cheaper. (The most, but not all.) A french campsite guide has listed about 10.000 campsites in france. Check out the off season = not at the french school summer holidays. Maybe much cheaper as during this time. There are business campsites, some private campsites, and cheap campsite owned and managed by local gouverment. They are called "municipal." Cheaper, simpler but not free. Electricity (220 Volts AC) is also cheap and possiple at most campsites. But you must pay by Amperes. How much amperes you need at your voltage connection. Add the watts of your electric gear, what connected same time, and divide it with 220 = Amperes. And look and buy for adapters GB to Euro. And for adapters from GB to the blue CEE Jacks. (220 Volts). Many campsites in Europe use this. The gas bottles for your gas cook are cheap in germany. 2,- Euro/Piece, or cheaper. Be careful in France. Because the brand "Camping Gaz" is maybe expensive. Look for cheaper brands, in larger supermarkets. (stores) etc. Buy bottled water in france. It taste better as from the tap. The french people do it also.
Well - thats internet. interactive in both ways. Worldwide. You enjoy me with your videos. On locations where I cannot be now. And I enjoy you with my infos. I life at the nation-corner D/CH/F in middle europe. Germany/Switzerland/France. In France it is better, when you can speak a little bit in french. And if its only a few words. Not everyone knows english. Some learn german in school. In Switzerland wild camping is forbidden. You must go to campsites and pay. (Or private ground with permit, if you can). Or you can stay at Autobahn-stops and their parking Lots for one night (for free.) You must buy and tag a sticker every year to pay the swiss autobahn-maut-fee. (Thanks to my school teachers, to teach me english. After school I trained and expand it more.)
U look as if u are living the dream, would love to be lying there looking up at the stars will eating a fish the I caught from a nearby loch not a care in the world with the only noise of the local wildlife. X
