  • I wanted to preserve this piece of hardware developed by DL8MBV since there was no information available online.
It lets you send and receive SSTV images and FAX. The interface plugs in the User Port and the software is on a floppy disk.
You need a din connector to the radio in order to receive de audio signal. For the Tx part you can take the audio output directly to the mic input. You can ad a switch to manually toggle on TX or use the VOX feature present in some transceivers such as the Yaesu FTXX7 series.

What did you use to try to copy the files to SD2IEC? only program I've found was something Dracocopy (I think) that I heard of on Jan Beta's channel. Nothing else I've got will copy to / from SD2IEC. If it is copy protected for sure then either a zoomfloppy using a commodore drive with a parallel mod + nibtools could put it into a .G64 diskimage so it could be transferred or taking a snapshot of running program with a super snapshot cartridge could be a possibility. if that could be duplicated n a schematic diagram done based on the board you have it might be replicated. That is if the original designer doesn't object.

Please try to save the software somewhere public for preservation!

This would be awesome featured in a post apocalyptic movie transmitting messages to human survivors 😁
