The deadbeat dads that are excellent stepfathers are usually living off of the mother. He needs somewhere to stay, so he pretends to be a good father figure to her kids so that she’ll keep him around.
That’s because a lot of men once they are done with a female they are done with any child or children attached to that female even their own biological children . I know that’s messed up but a lot of men have that mentality . So what ever woman they are interested in is the woman they will stand by and anything that is attached to her including HER children.

I'm glad there is a black man speaking out against deadbeat dads.My baby is almost a year old.I have begged my baby's father for diapers,wipes and baby clothes and he would not help me.I filed for child support nine months ago,and still haven't gotten anything.We can't always rely on the government to even get us child support,which is a small percentage of their check.I used to cry everyday about this.I also used to go without food,eating one meal a day just so I could buy diapers.I wish there was someone who would help us.Yes we picked the wrong men,but we don't deserve to suffer and do without for the rest of our lives.The average child support is $350 a month,which ain't shit especially when you factor in daycare cost.Men need to take care of their kids no matter what and without the government having to force them to.

When our son was 2 months old he started dating me neighbour he purposely started dating her and started staying with her and her MOTHER and her daughter. Sent me pictures of them, walks by me everyday and worst of all our baby! it’s sickening. He pays NOTHING and does NOTHING... I’m so sad for my son! i feel so fucked up and depressed over what’s goin on in my life. not to mention when our baby was in the hospital he told be he has 2 other baby under 1 year old. It is not only in US, it even in Ukraine. Ukrainian women often get married and having kids with men from another countries. Majority of men take care about kids India, Egypt, white US, Russian, Vietnamese and so on. But I never see African father, only Ukrainian mother and mixed kid.

My daughter’s Black father is a deadbeat…he thought he was getting away with it for years. And it finally caught up with him…how, with his poor health! He hasn’t had a decent day of good health now in years. The trifling low life’s aren’t getting away with anything! Single mothers, stay strong and continue to lean on GOD. He will not leave nor forsake you if you put your trust in him. It’s not in our timing, it’s in God’s timing.

I feel like I'm at my breaking point almost every other day, and was just telling myself to stay “strong” before I read your comment. I think I will continue to do as such, and may the man who never gave his daughter a chance, get the life he truly deserves.

I t is bad; many are afraid to address it and point out that these guys are making up bullshit excuses.I work with the Dept of Social Services and honestly,what some of these guys are ordered to pay is pathetic and they are crying..$35 weekly.Be raw with it brother; their new excuse is black women need to chose better.So all these black women are chosing bums? Simply ridiculous.Why are black men known for abandoning their children? There are many great black fathers out there but unfortunately the bums are more in the spotlight with their bs excuses; I see some of these great dads everyday.Over the summer the park was full of young fathers.I will say this; I do see the younger guys,early 30s and younger being more involved than the older guys. I see them come into the office pushing the stroller and inquiring about services for their children.

Statically it shows Black American women are the #1 single mothers in the US. I watched a movie with my Mom from the 70's and they showed a bus of single black women headed to work and all asking each other have they heard from their baby fathers and I'm still seeing this now. I had a Father but I was one of the only in my clique of 12 girls who had one. Its not racists its a sad truth. Some BM do who are amazing but sadly ALOT don't. Let's keep it a buck! About to be 14 years no help. My daughter's father been asking her to come to New York for years to stay with him for the summer. Went to New York last month for 6 days and he never showed up to see her, so of course she didn't stay. When we got home she said she wants nothing else to do with him and asked me to put him on child support. Soon as she turns 14 and can ask the courts to deny his visitation I will be filing the paperwork.
A lot of these deadbeats are also mentally and emotionally abusive to their children. Making promises they know they won't keep and going out there way to do so. Let's not forget about the deadbeats that were never put on any type of child support who continue to come in out of their childrens life being abusive, intentionally sowing seeds of hatred in their childrens heart towards them.
What happened to marriage first? 24% of black men are unmarried fathers (15-45), using CDC figures in 2012. 40% are single, childless. Laws should be used to stop deadbeat dads.

This is an honorable man speaking the truth. It’s such a shame how many black men complain about child support which is the bare minimum compared to what the custodial parent has to provide. My ex husband would quit his job multiple times so he wouldn’t have to pay anything.

One of my cousin's daughters tried to get somewhere with the deadbeat father of her child, including jail, wage garnishment, and legal sanctions against him...Nothing worked, and now It's going on 17 years since she (and her own daughter) last saw or heard from or about the status of this jerk! You can toughen the laws all you want, and it still doesn't seem to do any good, whatsoever! Sloth is sloth! If a man, regardless of creed or color, doesn't want the responsibility of a child he helped bring into this world, he's going to find whatever tactic, loophole, or method he can to make sure he's not around - Period!

However, I hear about dudes owing a fortune to more than one child that know how to maneuver their way around the loopholes, have even more kids, and NEVER pay! My own father found ways around paying for his three children (including myself), and still lived like a king, doing whatever he pleased, but that was back in the 70s and 80s... IDK, all I see is that if a guy is dead set against wanting to pay CS, he'll find a way not to!

The divorce was granted about six months later with all the custody, visitation, and proper CS legalities hammered out, but he still managed to render himself "invisible" shortly afterwards and never paid a dime all through our child and teen lives, and never had anything to do with us even after that... He passed on in 2008...

I never wanted to ever have to put my child's father on child support even though he doesn't do anything. It's been 4 years and he takes care of his girlfriends other children. It's so sad honestly. I never wanted to be a single mother but I didn't take the time and see the signs before making this decisions. I finally had made the choice to file for child support. I've been scared to do it because I'm afraid that he'll retaliate. But I have to do what's best for our son

I have two kids and I raised them both by myself and it is very disappointing that I trust the person enough to have sex with me and then I end up holding the bags on my own. But one thing I learn from all of this is, if I don’t teach my daughters to take care of themselves this will end up being a cycle that Will continue to be. Hun, Child support is NOT all the average mother or child really wants. I'm 62 years and never had a relationship with my father. This is painful to a child and it can mold them into dysfunctional individuals. I grew up hating myself , mistrusting and fearing men. All I wanted was my dad's love, his wisdom, and his protection from my sexual abuser. This has become a generational curse. I pray daily for my grandson and his father. Too many of us have not seen great role models....That's another topic.

I was married to my son's father and he begged me to have his child so I finally did and when I left him due to his abusive behavior he vanished causing me to divorce him via publication and raise our now 3 year old autistic child alone with no help physically, financially, etc … Luckily I bring in a smooth 200k / year and growing but it' a lot of work doing it solo. I’m currently pregnant. My baby father has fertility issues so after 5s years of my sacrifice taking his abuse and beatings I am now pregnant. He left me to father another man’s child for 1year. And when I met him he had nothing and I supported him. Now he has a lot of money and when I told him I was pregnant he was abusing me and I pleaded to him I don’t need the stress. I said if his going to be toxic it can affect babies development and I don’t want to bring a baby into that. He was more than happy for me to abort the baby. He then disappeared. Now I trying to flee to another country to protect me and my baby from his abuse. He hates his dad who was a shit dad and his mother always put her pissy before her children. His a mommy’s boy his mom failed

I'm going to share with you and the public my personal experience:
- I get $3k a month from VA disability (have ptsd from a combat tour)
- I have 2 children (5&4) that I've been paying their mother $750 + other expenses when they're with me. All sum up to around $1000 a month.
- I use to visit my children x3 a week; but now It's been reduced to every other weekend; and I'm going to explain why:
When you said; "doesn't matter what the mother spends the child support money on"; YES it does: she's been using the money on alcohol and drugs(meth); and I'm currently giving the money to her MOM(children's grandma). She doesn't work, doesn't drive, cook... etc
- when we were together; she cheated on me; and we both started playing that game until I gave up. She never had any respect or consideration for me. But the relationship is not my point so I'm going to leave it there.
- since we broke up; I've been harassed by her because she wanted me back; hundreds of phone calls, social media, and fake phone numbers. I didn't change my number because I felt the need to keep in contact for the kids. A lot of emotional abuse and stalking.
- she sleeps with many men at a time; and why I'm saying this? Well; she makes some of them believe she wants a formal serous RL.
- Not long ago I was assaulted by one of her ex; broke my face and nose; ended up in ER.
- the threats continues because her lovers know me by pictures and stories she make about me; when I don't know their faces or anything of them, which makes me be off guard.
I hope you understand that not all people's situations are the same and can't be placed in the same box; and there's another side of your story that you missed on your video; some single mothers I just described. Like you said; I saw the outside and didn't take a looong time to see her inside.
I don't think seeing my children 5 times a month is enough; yet, seeing them more can bring me very serious problems. I don't want to end up in jail or dead; if you know what I mean.
I'd like to see your response; maybe I can learn a good strategy from you. Just remember; you would need to go through 6 years of abuse, a broken bloody face, and a reckless behavior from her as if it's something funny; before you dare to judge me like you did for men in your video.
PS: I live with my father; I can't afford to move out right now. I'm in debt and don't go out except to the gym and therapy appointments at VA.

This is an increasingly common scenario too. I’m sorry to read it but it’s your story and mine that is going to pave the way for fathers and family court equality. I had CPS in my life for 6 months where I proved I was alcohol and drug free, kept a good job, had a nice place, passed psychological evaluations and drug and alcohol evaluations and monthly tests, random visits, 4 month long every week parenting class and all because my ex who hit me, called the cops and said I hit her and in front of our child too. This bitch didn’t pass a single drug test, didn’t go to a single class, didn’t do anything and CPS doesn’t testify on anyones behalf in family court, a judge gave my son to what eventually became a meth head who is now in prison. I pay child support and her mom raises our son while she is in prison. “Oh go get your son then” “oh you need custody then sweetie” - you’re probably saying lmfao, um do you have another 5k to give me for another shitty lawyer? What’s crazy is people look at me like I’m hiding something or leaving something out when the reality is, bitches are nuts, they lie in court and get away with it. Child support is profit for the state, it’s not protection for the innocent. It’s a 300 billion dollar a year industry the states profit on. Grandparents have rights too and women can find pro bono lawyers bc they are that easy for lawyers to win. Men, we don’t have that option because pro bono is when it’s a for sure win or an exposure big case win even if they lose the case. These lawyers don’t like taking our case because it’s always a loss. So when they do, it’s 5k retainer for a man, bare minimum in TX. I’m not paying that again. Besides I won anyway. She is in prison, he only knows daddy, her mom is doing good with him, I’m close, I see him often, he is happy, healthy and I pay $700/m for that happiness. I have freedom and can get him, drop him off, be there when it’s good and besides they fought, lied and paid a bunch of money on a lawyer to take on all the hard times themselves. Get what you get and you can’t throw a fit, right ladies? If you’re paying thousands on a lawyer to fight for full custody and getting all the time, then don’t cry wolf later. Also don’t take all the time and then place all the blame on the father lmfao, sorry but when you’re the main influence, your the main solution. Quit tugging on my damn coat tail unless you’re ready to give up time and go 50/50. You look like a self righteous hypocrite otherwise. I’ll continue to offer 50/50 and it’s all any father needs to say or do when you ask for more than what the court has ordered. You don’t need more money, you need more freedom for either peace of mine or just more hours clocked in at work. Same set of rules, equality, diversity and inclusion, right? Fathers have been getting fucked and ass raped in family court since the 1980’s. Women go along with it too and that’s where you’re fucking up ladies. Stop going along with it. Force 50/50, force the both of you to grow as co parents together. Don’t think that $700 is money in the bank. Look around you, look at your single mom friends and the nasty dick they cling to for support. Look how tired the other friend is who actually works 60 hours a week to give her child an amazing life. Ya it’s rewarding but she won’t live long. Just like men don’t live long, humans aren’t cut out for 60 hour intense work weeks. Your life expectancy is going to plummet, your family court statistics are already starting to decline and you’re being forced to work full time jobs now while your mom and grandmother’s generation got to stay at home all day and be with their prized possession children from wake up to bed time. Look at you now, definitely not winning from my point of view or from your complaints. Seems the struggle is real huh? Why not 50/50 that ass and get on an even playing field? My father is a deadbeat to his daughter, me, but lives with my step mother and takes care of my brothers. So some men take care of their sons/children if they are with the woman but abandon the child if they are not enjoying the body of the mother any more.

Currently going through this situation w/ my ex right now. My ex been ditching, dodging, and running from the court system in my county. I had hired the sheriff department to come serve him at his job in February of 2020 and he still has failed to appear at court to take this DNA test. My child is almost 10months old now. My ex never saw him, call to check on him, or even offer any type of help with our child. I just found out hat he encounter a domestic charge for battery for hitting on his new girlfriend in return she took out an restraining order on him and both parties failed to show up for the actually hearing. Now he is court order to take a DNA test on November 3, 2020. In which, he won’t show up for that date either. I am just waiting for the courts to default him the father before 2020 year is gone. Karma is awaiting my ex

Prison with workshops to make them pay instead of the government (food stamps Medicaid). I’m Hispanic grew up in poverty, but I’m going to school, working not looking for handouts.
