I'm a software director who hasn't coded for work in 20+ years, my background is mostly C. I dove right into this having never done any Python or Git. It definitely took some time to get up and running with the first week. In the middle of it now. Only being able to devote about 10hrs a week, it's going to take me longer than 7 weeks for sure. One thing that's weird, if I want the "professional certificate" (not just course cert) I have to go back and take intro to CS with Python which I don't think will be useful for someone like me. I have a comp eng background already and when I get through CS50AI, I will know enough Python.
I am currently enrolled in CS50P! I am currently in week 7, and I had no prior coding experience before starting this course. I plan to take another CS50 course next, but I am still deciding among CS50, CS50W, and CS50AI.
Hello! Its one course called ”CS50's Introduction to Artificial Intelligence with Python” And another one called ”Machine Learning and AI with Python” wich is slightly shorter. Wich one is best to start off with if im brand new to this?
Hi! I have a question regarding certificate. I saw on edx that if you take two courses of computer science, for example: CS50 Introduction to Computer Science and CS50W Web Programming with Python and Javascript ,you are eligible for a program certificate. Is that then still worth paying?
Lol, Brian's frowning face that's always looking into the yonder. That said, I've taken CS50W and CS50X but i think I prefer Brian's explanation to professor Malan's. Although both are great teachers. Finally, thanks for the review.
Thank you for replying! Can you elaborate by any chance? Because I already started the Andrew NG course and it's great but now I was exposed to the CS50 for the first time and it seems that over there they have projects, language based AI, and more stuff that in Andrew's course they don't have so would love to hear why. Thanks!@@Daniel-Dann
The course says you should have as a prerequisite completed CS50x OR have a year of python experience Picking up on CS50x should do the trick, you could also see CS50P which is amazing and focuses EXCLUSIVELY on python and they're all free as well
Absolutely not. Check the problem sets or even the lectures. From the first minute you’re thrown into Python functions and data structures. I’m finishing CS50x and I’ll do cs50 AI. But even before that, I’d recommend practicing python for a bit
Brian Yu is a great instructor. Cutting 0,5 point because cs50x is run by djm is a very subjective and inaccurate opinion. All yt AI courses are waaaaaay below what Brian is doing. Not to mention his amazing succinct guidance in cs50x problem sets.
it depends on your skill, certification basically means that you have completed this course and understood the topics in it. The most important thing would be where you use the skill you leared, i.e in projects

what courses I have to take in order to be ready for cs50 AI?
You should know Python. Also learning cs50x will be a good idea if you are 0 in programming.
if anyone could tell me where the cs50 ai problem sets are

Can not decide which course to do, this one or specialization in machine learning by Stanford and Andrew NG at Coursera, what do you think?
