Here is latest Automata - Sisyphus.
It is made 100% from laser cut wood, without any extra materials used. Turn the handle and watch him slide as she tries to push the giant boulder up the hill. I have taken some liberties with the story and history and added my own take on it. I hope you enjoy it!

Elegant and beautiful work! I has been fascinated with early automata stuff starting from the XVIII century, and also with the short essay by Edgar Allan Poe, "Maelzel's Chess Player" (1836), since I was a kid. Now after studied Physics and Artificial Intelligence, this lovely contraptions fascinated me much more! Also the music you compose is great too! Congratulations! Greetings from Mexico City.

I felt a bit sad for him with my choice of music which is why I cheered it up a little at the end!
Definitely the music! It made it so sad. After the music cheered up my tears soon dried. Your automata give me the wobblies though. They’re always pointing to something deeply emotional. Or at least I seem to be receptive to their poignancy.

another great model. Do your etsy files provide recommended sources for the different thickness wood required?
Thank you for the message! Where I am (Japan) I can easily get wood in 2.5mm, 3mm and 4mm online or at the local home warehouse/depot/DIY kind of places. I don't have any sources for any other countries sorry.

why a devil?
I took a bit of liberty with the story. He tried to cheat death so I added my idea of death giving him punishment. Also he is being punished in Hades so I thought it would be nice to add a devil in there.
