The Lotus Evora was withdrawn because they weren't getting any factory help and it wasn't up to speed in ALMS. Lotus doesn't have any money so you won't see any anytime soon. I'm glad to see the field sizes up this year in DP! hopefully they will be back above 20 next year with the LMP2's

Whoever is doing the flags needs to get their act together. They are so inconsistent. Apparently a car that spins and comes to a stop in the middle of the track facing incoming cars causing them to dart around it is not enough to get the yellow yet a car that stops on the grass and well out of the way of traffic is enough to get the yellow out. They also had spins at the same part of the track minutes apart yet they did not put out a yellow.
When they change the rules and make new class restrictions. Meaning, that there should be an LMP(D)1 class strictly for diesel powered cars, and have a new and separate class for LMP(G)1 class cars that are gasoline powered.
I love having this race is on RUclips. That way I can watch them a couple times. And being that I can't control the TV because of my spinal cord injury. But I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking to run my computer so I can start stop, rewind car go forward. If I want. It's the little things in life that can be really big!
A Ferrari 458 GT will never on it's best day see a top speed anywhere near 185 mph. A NASCAR is designed for oval tracks, and would have a clear cut advantage, especially maintaining top end speeds.
actually, as it looks now, the dp's might be faster with the upgrades, but nobody can afford them, i think that class isnt the class you should worry about cuz thats were all focus is. the class in question is pc, which is barely slower than lmp2, which are being given 60 kg extra weight. so then the will have to slow down the pc cars, which would put them in the way of gtlm cars, which arnt being touched
I still don't get why ALMS and this series are merging. For one thing, ALMS P1 cars demolish DP's. ALMS P2 cars, and ALMS PC cars also demolish DP's. Hell, even ALMS GT2 cars are faster than the DP's. For the 2014 USCC, LMP1 is gone, and they are merging LMP2 and DP, so they are one class, simply called Prototypes, but LMP2's are so much faster. The GRAND-AM cars don't stand a chance against the ALMS cars; the DPs are going to be humiliated.
i listened to the radio le mans broadcast which was better than this btw, but they flat out said how bad grand am did on bop, these announcers were tip toeing around the fact that the ganassi car being clearly faster than everything, when in this series its supposed to be dead equal, the radio le mans guys said every time the ganassi car was within 1 second of the car in front going on the straights it would be able to caught them before the next corner

Sorry Sam, but Grand-Am was a mix of slow and slower, the DP's being slower than LMPC cars by about 4-6 seconds.
