Drew just want to say as someone who has also rebuilt a fire damaged car all the paint will be damaged inside all the rails and will be rusting inside the rails and aprons etc so you’ll need to get a nozzle and neutralise all the rust inside these and then hit them all with a cavity wax or it’ll rot from the inside out, I don’t know what they used to extinguish the fire but a powder type fire extinguisher accelerated my rust build up
There’s certain fire extinguishers you can use that won’t make your car rust but they’re a lot more pricey. There’s also stuff you can you to prevent it from rusting if you’re quick enough.
I say use whatever tool brand you think will get the job done.. People out here trying to see if you use luxury brand tool LOL ... Love the rebuild vids ...
This is hands down the best car content that you posted Drew. Not many people out there I have seen do restoration projects on iconic Japanese cars like yours. Staying tuned for future uploads.
Drew my boy i’ve been watching you for so long now and the fact that you’re actually working on the cars and recording it now is crazy keep growing bro you always got at least one viewer here
That poor supra got torched, I can't imagine how it felt watching all that hard work on the build slip away. Not even kidding, my 70,000 mile, automatic, front wheel drive Mitsubishi 3000gt would still be worth twice as less as the supra post fire. I hate when dudes get hyped at my car and then I have to tell them I have the base model of base model 3000gts.
Harbor freight tools are fine. Ive got a mix probably have something from almost every brand lol, like ky milwakee guns and snapon torque wrenches tho gotta have good torque wrenches for building motors the rest of the hand tools do fine, snapon rachets are nice but harbor freight icon is pretty close especially if its not for professional every day use it gets it done fine
Use a flapper buffing pad for metal on the down pipe it will turn back shinny just be careful with it cause it will start to grind metal off if you are light handed it will just shave a little off and wear a mask
You know the vvti GTE valve covers and timing cover is still available new from Toyota dealerships in Japan. I have a complete set here. You'd definitely be better off buying them new over eBay, aftermarket or trying to redo your valve covers.
Almost lost your hand you say?I knew a guy I used to work with was stuck for hours after an engine block fell on his hand 😬 Still could use it and everything 😁
Harbor freight is good. They have a lot of stuff that is highly functional. Lots of there products are the same as name brand just labeled differently. But you have to watch quality because they also have products that are bad quality.
Harbor Freight is for people who actually do work with their tools and know when they need to buy something they'll use for 20y vs something that is for a job or two. If you're a professional mechanic, but whatever you want. It's been shown before that many of the Icon tools are built in the same exact factory that snap on is built in, (both in China btw). Likewise the Daytona floor jacks are the exact same jack as Snap on, they even got sued over it. There are definitely horrible Harbor freight tools that will break off in your hands the first time you use them. Then there is a second tier of tool that will work great but not have a lot of longevity in it. The top tier Harbor Freight stuff generally doesn't ever have a coupon applicable to it, is equal to brands costing 2-3x more, but can also be total crap and a money grab. It's really frustrating. I have a Hercules impact I purchased because I needed something for a project where I was almost guaranteed to destroy the tool. Lots of fluids and water were going to pour over this tool as I was using it. I didn't want to risk my Milwaukee impacts. Since then the Hercules keeps on truckin'. I've left it out in the rain overnight. It's had oil and antifreeze solution seeped into all of its orifices and been dropped from waist high multiple times. I don't know if the red and black can take that punishment because I'd never subject it to that, but if I have a dodgy job I know which tool I'm taking.
Not as dirty as I was three weeks ago when u used Mt air compressor for 2 hours under my mustang that went threw a flood when I left to get a bite to eat after and ran into friend ar store he said man you should not run around in black face some one might get affected I looked in mirror and oh boy it was bad
I rather have harbor freight tools to work on my Supra than snap on tools to work on my clapped out Silverado 👍🏻 tools don’t matter much if you aren’t using them daily for your profession
Why is an engine sometimes called a motor and sometimes called an engine? i always thought that an engine was something that ran off of combustion and a motor was like an electric motor, i notice that no one ever says "motor stand" or "motor bay"

something refreshing about youtubers that are capable of doing shit on their own.

Milwaukee is the only brand that will get the tough jobs done PALLLL
"respect all tools" but not ryobi or parkside xD does not matter as long as it gets the job doen tools are expencive.
fire was worth it for finding the lost 10mm alone
imagine that was what started the fire lmao

Opened RUclips just in time
No like no comment? "I can fix that"
This Supra better make it back to the streets.

I’m excited about this build. Can’t wait to see it slowly restored back to its former glory.

Honda phoenix yellow would be a fitting color for the Supra
Luv all your cars, the supra will make a comeback better than ever thanks for all your hard work drew 😅
I want to see this supra back so bad we haven't enjoy it enough for sure ! we need a big turbo on that just so you pass everyone in your town ! :P
Nice to see it coming together again drew! Can’t wait to see it done!
Nice work Drew! I am excited it's very interesting watching you repair this car.
Your channel has saved my life thank you
4:07 is the reality of a 10mm socket
Every thing is already off. Buy once cry once. Don’t risk leaving any thing you don’t feel 100% about.
Yeah! I’m excited for the Supra build.
so happy you're rebuilding this!
The 10mm killed me😭😭
Your car reminds me of the fast and the furious scene. The mk4 in the movie was burn. The movie said 15k as well
its always when you do a tear down you find that one ten mill 😂
I hope the supra makes it back on to the streets drew iam a huge fan of yours

Where are you getting the wiring harness from? I’ve been trying to find one for a long time.
say what you want about drew but! he sure cares a lot about his cars! man! keep it up champ! cant wait to watch the video when you bring her back!
The love toy have for this car bro! Keep it up
Harbor Freight tools are not as bad as people say.
Just woke up and this is the first thing I see Awesome video
you should think about dry ice cleaning rusted/burnt parts it takes way less time than wire wheeling
Drew the type of guy to upload a fire vid the moment I wake up
Harbor freight tools are the best. I have snap on and I use harbor freight the most.
4:02 The classic hide and seek champion 🤣
I got en Elantra engine drew $800 obo 🔥🔥🔥😂
drew the goat ong
Are u going to put it in motec or any standalone?
What's the plan for the repaint of the front end/engine bay? Flame paint engine bay for Project Phoenix?
Flame paint😂😂
First thing to do when I wake up pop a drew video..
you didn’t give me time to decide if u should do motor or firewall
Can't wait for the Supra to be rebuilt.
How about adding the ac since you're rebuilding the entire engine bay?
I had AC but definitely need it again
@@DrewPeacock oh i did not know that anyway all the best my guy for the project🫂
Drew, I say do the motor less stress off your hands while doing the firewall
Not the 10mm falling from the deep dark depths of that supra
Use a flapper buffing pad for metal on the down pipe it will turn back shinny just be careful with it cause it will start to grind metal off if you are light handed it will just shave a little off and wear a mask

Engine bay + motor = motor bay

Supra proud of you 😂
Most would have sent it off to a scrap yard
Ratrod supra build that would be sick
You burned your supra on purpose for content and I love it 🔥🤟
You can do a left hand drive swap your dash is toasted anyway
Maybe it catching on fire was a blessing in disguise.
The phoenix build.
Clean supra
Damn I’m early but hope this car gets back to its glory
MOTOR!
I figure its alright, doesn't need as much work as Cleetus did to his weathered block so I hope this goes well.
Right in time for lunch
Aye man use some mothers steel polish it works on anything
This is real life the fast and the furious is a weird universe
This the earliest I been
Bro got that stool from harbor freight lol I know cuz I have 2

Thats a dope ass tool chest.
Took a fire to find the 10mm 🤣
Drews 10’mm hanging in for deer lifeee🔩🔒700 plus hp 😭😭😭
Engine bay so you can go get the car painted first while you work on tearing down the motor

Yo! I got here early!
drew is there a way you can keep some of the burn on the body so people can see the supra from hell😩😩😩
There’s a guy Lee C on youtube, rebuilt a demon that was burned down and manual swapped it kept some of the burn i thinks it’s amazing
Do you think you'd ever give the supra a bodykit?
