How much I wish most of these rare bands had better recording equipment and mastering. There's so much potential here for it to sound a hundred times better.
@@NEWBOYY I don't mean the compression or how something might be echoey or how it sounds "like it's from 00s". What I mean is how instruments are combined and the fact that there's a lot of sound just lost. It could still have the same effect, but have more fidelity and be less muffled, in my opinion. I hope that clarifies what I mean.
Like, even old tape recordings sound good while having that kind of raw sound. Ska band "Catch 22" and their "Rules of the Game" album come to mind. Has that scratchy imperfect sound, but I can hear every bass and trumpet note perfectly well.
I just know how most of these super underground bands were (and are still) recorded and very frequently it's just some shitty venue equipment which NO ONE ever knows how to set up and everything is done in one go, because it's a blessing to even have that, but it will always kind of drive me nuts. This one is on a label, and realistically it's fine, but "a man can dream". Also, sorry for a wall of text :c.
They didnt waste anytime with that first song. This is solid
For reals 😂
I Immediately saved it to my playlist
this might be Balmora

tbh I like it this way too. More raw and nostalgic but i know what you mean it's not ideal recording quality
