Flying the 737 MAX always makes me happy, although it had a rocky start I love being on it (after knowing it's safe ofc) it is a great new plane and such a smooth ride, especially when flying with SWA!
I had two trips on the same day and one of them was on the 737 Max and I found it quite pleasant, a very smooth plane, especially in the descent and ascent phase. Not so the Airbus A330 on the first flight that the approach phase felt very ugly 😂😂
Just flew the MAX-8 for my first time in N8815L. Interior mostly same as the 8H4’s except as your notations and also cabinet between doorway and main cabin up front quite similar as the 700 series where as the 800NG’s have the half cabinet quite similar to the old classics now retired. I truly love the quieter LEAP engines.
I’ve ridden the 8Max multiple times on Southwest and American Airlines…I’ll admit I was really nervous at first, but thankfully it turned out to be great rides every time.
Exactly. People have to realize how many millions of passengers have now safely flown on them since they were un-grounded They’re just as safe as any other 737 series now
@@MatthewsAviationChannel it’s also the most scrutinized plane ever. It would be Boeings and the FAA’s death wish if they didn’t properly reverting this plane!
I'm scheduled to fly on the Southwest MAX in January! So excited to finally get to experience it! I was already very impressed with the 737-800 so I can't wait to experience the MAX for myself!
I recently flew into Houston from LAX on a MAX 8. I must say when I first sat down and noticed the plane model I was super nervous b/c of the craziness that was happening with the MAX 8’s The take off was very smooth… the MAX was literally eating the CLOUDS ☁️ LOL As for landing 🛬… this is the loudest engine I’ve ever heard and it had some sort of roller coaster effect when breaking. It literally thrusted my body forward 😂😂😂 none of the passengers were expecting that we kind of chuckled and made eye contact with one another. I love SWA
I am still very worried & upset of what happened with that horrible crash which was totally preventable & feeling real bad for those lost lives !! I recently happened to watch a documentary film on Amazon ? on my smart TV., too. I wish if Southwest select other aircrafts for the routes I am interested in !! Glad to know it was o.k. ,though ! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
I’ve had a comfortable MAX flight back to FLL from SJU on Southwest back in October. Was nervous at first but once off the ground, no turbulence throughout the flight. Was also lucky that the middle seat had no one in it despite what was said that it was going to be a full flight.
I was supposed to fly the MAX at the beginning of this month (August 2022), but they switched it out for an 800 last minute. I was really looking forward to it. Maybe next time.
I flew on a united max 9 February 2021 and was pleased with the plane I may not be fond of the 737 platform for various reasons but it was a decent yet nearly silent plane.
I flew on southwest to and from Tennessee which was a shortb1 hr and 10 minute hop and i flew on the 737 MAX8 amd it was much quietier and man i loved their mood lighting! Definitely will fly them again!
Flew on the MAX for the first time in this past May and again in June, both times were random changes from the -800 as with you. Definitely my favorite aircraft from Southwest.
I was actually so close on flying on board one of southwest 737 Max’s from DEN-PHL and was really excited to try it out, But it got changed like 1 day before I left to a regular 800 model
For the first time to my knowledge, we get a glimpse of jazzdad and jazzsister! :) Have not flown the Max but have flown the -800 series, interior of Max vs 800 looks identical to me. With your arrival at PIT around midnight, what time did you get home and crash? I hope to fly SWA again but this time, booking the "Wanna Get Away Plus" fare category to earn more Rapid Reward points. I like their Early Bird check in and like you, two free checked bags.At the time, were you mentally prepared to move to San Francisco, so far from home?
I really enjoy your videos. You and symbols aviation. Well done. Windows are the same size and shape as all 737's, I believe. Just the interior panels are different; hence you can see the squared off corners.
I like your videos. I used to fly in and out of FLL a lot and I have to say, there is nothing good about terminal 1 or any of the terminals there. They are very crowded, rude people and just plain chaos. At one time it was a really nice small airport that was easy to access and get around... not anymore. I suspect that you ate at Margaritaville. Yeah, the food is pretty dreadful. keep up your videos and reviews. They are enjoyable.
It is a very charming plane despite what they say is unsafe and the 2 accidents. After the recertification we can be sure that it is one of the safest airplanes that exist at this time. It was very pleasant to fly from Montreal to Vancouver in this majestic machine with its powerful, huge side-to-side turbines.
I was so nervous flying on a MAX from O'hare to VA. In the air, I swear the plane was going to drop out of the sky because it was so quiet😱 I hate flying. But it was nice.
I just booked tickets on a Boeing 737 max from Minneapolis to Chicago, I was hoping it would offer a great experience since both my daughters will be on it and are very excited to fly for the first time.
Flew on an Alaska MAX 9, best experience I've ever had. Seats were very comfortable, everything felt brand new, the plane was quiet, and the bathrooms were clean and large. Oh, and it's the first time I could have a large backpack under the seat in front of me and still be able to fully stretch my legs. Alaska also has full universal outlets and usb ports.
I hope to fly on a 737 MAX 8 in December from Tampa to Atlanta. I was supposed to fly on one in March on Southwest but it got swapped to a 737-800 from Omaha to Atlanta.
I am a terrified flyer and had a trip planned in July but they changed my plane from an 800 to a max 8... I cancelled 😂 just here to see how nice they are
@@nismo29No,really ! I am not a frightened flyer ,but still upset/ concerned of Boeing Max aircrafts !! That horrible crash was totally preventable !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
Thanks for another great video! Will be flying Southwest for the first time in October when I make it over to the states, your videos are a great introduction as to what to expect. 😁
It looks decent, I have only flown them once, RT, not the worst but would not bother again, as far as low cost carriers I truly like Frontier. Happy landings! Hope you do another PNW, Alaska trip soon.
I love the Max. One thing I like - I feel like they land smoother than the NG. What I dont like - the individual air vents which dont blow as much air and look gross when dirty.
Ahh, so this is what you meant by something new and unexpected. Looks like the MAX experience is worth it. I also didn't even realize it was a MAX from the outside, but on the interior it looks pretty cool too. I'm a big fan of Southwest as well, will probably see if I end up flying one of their MAXes in the future.
Im a little bit affraid watching videos about this model of airplane... i go to dominican republic from colombia the next week but im nervious :( they are fully fixed now?
Este avión a día de hoy es muy muy muy seguro. Después de que los dejaron en tierra y volvieron a volar, no han habido más accidentes en este modelo. Vuela con confianza que es un avión muy bonito y muy placentero
I was honestly shocked when he announced he was going to move to California. I pictured him living in Alaska, New England, Chicago, New York, the Pacific Northwest, or any music-centric city in the South, but I never pictured him living in California. Then a few weeks after the move, he made a video about that, and it made sense to me. He moved to San Francisco for a new chapter in his life in grad school. He had the choice to spend grad school at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, but he decided to move to San Francisco instead because he wanted a big change. San Francisco is also music-centric, which benefits him as a musician.
I haven't flown SW since last summer, has texting always been free? I thought it cost money, just not the full price for internet. I'm eager to fly the MAX, my dad really enjoyed his flight in one, said it was the quietest plane he's been on.
I like Southwest (mostly), but they did the same thing to me (bait and switch a 737-800 for a 737 Max 8). For the opposite approach, look at Alaska Airlines - they are completely up front about their 737 max aircraft.
I was supposed to fly the 737 max with Southwest Airlines on a 3 hour flight between Chicago and Phoenix but it was changed to a 737-800 which I just recently flown. It wasn't a big deal for me because the 737 max and the 737-800 have the exact same seating capacity and I expected seeing the same cabin interior design.
I think it would be perfect replacement for their aging 737-700 because it’s basically same but newer version. Quieter and much better main chain experience that is just like their max 8.

I agree, I definitely think the MAX is safe to fly, considering how there hasn’t been any new accidents yet.

Why is the SouthWest ETOPS rated?
Because certain aircraft meet the ETOPS requirements.
For flying over water or something
They fly from the west coast to Hawaii now. That's why ETOPS rating is required.
