Really nice looking Mortal Sin. Great album by Lååz Rockit. Did have the I Am the Law single back in the days, wish I still had it, and cool to have Lita Ford 7" as well. Great update Keith. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Did not think there was much love out there for the 7". But people do enjoy seeing them, I will have to start digging through some boxes to show some more. Cheers for tuning in Roger mate.🤘🤘
Its very minty Brendan, and comes with the inlay. But I forgot to show it, as was too busy showing off. I prefer this editions artwork to the early one, very cool. I might be confused but i seem to remember you showing it in one of your videos. Have a good Easter mate🥚🤘
@@AttackFromDownunda your right mate, I was lucky to find a great copy of the Aussie first pressing with the original artwork a while back. Mortal Sins first 2 albums are my favourites and I have multiple copies of different pressings that I have found over the last few years🤘have a great long weekend
Congrats on Mortal Sin, cool to find a rare album that means so much to you. I have that version of Doctor Butcher. There is another disc called "The Demos" with the same art but a red border. They look like bootlegs but apparently are official. Excellent Lita Ford 7"! Cheers Keith!
I was pleased when that " Mortal Sin " album arrived on my doorstep. And that " Doctor Butcher " was a inspired impulse buy. I think some tracks are availible somewhere of sessions for the abandoned 2nd album, but it might just be Wikipedia Bullsxxt!. Have a good Easter Scott.
Hi Tony. Those albums are both thrash killer albums. When do you have too much old school thrash in your collection?. The answer for me is never!. Have a great weekend mate!.
The "first" Doctor Butcher is amazing, very heavy and intense... I have been meaning to get the "second" one that you were showing. I believe it's a bunch of demos that were going to be on a second album that never happened. But what I heard from it was great. I definitely will get that one eventually. I completed my collection of all the Jon Oliva's Pain during the pandemic. Very good stuff, especially Maniacal Renderings. If you like Jon Oliva vocalizing like a madman, look no further than the title track from this album. It kind of hurts my throat just hearing him on parts if this song:-) I got the Mortal Sin reissues last year... great thrash, a great addition to my 80s-ish thrash collection :-) And I agree, Laaz Rockit are somewhat under-rated... Know Your Enemy, Annihilation Principle and Nothing Sacred were a very strong streak of 3 albums in a row... but they seem to have been forgotten completely.
I don't know much about ex-Savatage members side projects, but that " Pain " project sounds like one I would love. That Doctor Butcher is class, really enjoyed listening to that. I'm amazed you know about " Mortal Sin " as like Laaz Rockit they have by-passed a lot of people. Both really deserve more attention in my opinion. And the cover art also draws me in massively. Cheers for watching Pascal!.I also did a combined episode with Dan yesterday, that was fun.
Awesome you found the debut Mortal Sin. I picked up the reissue of that album but i do have an og of their second album plus an EP they put out. I had never heard of Laaz Rockit when i was younger but love them now. Own nothing Physical yet though. I am not a massive fan of alot of the new Wave of tradition heavy metal but i do like Striker, Skullfist and Enforcer. Love me some Cromags. They influenced alot of my favourite NY Hardcore bands Biohazard, Madball etc. love that picture of Lita myself😁. Killer scores mate🤘
I have so wanted that album for ages Nathan. Thrilled to find it, I remember Brendan showing it when he snagged a copy. There is so much new Wave of trad. heavy metal out there, I'm happy to buy the cream of the crop when I hear about a good album. Have a great Easter break mate🤘
@@AttackFromDownunda Brendan was actually the one who sent me an og copy of Face Of Despair on vinyl which was awesome. When I was in Aussie last I searched high and low for any Mortal Sin but had no luck but the minute I got home I found a copy of their ep
@@metaldownunder666 I think we have better chances to find these metal gems in N.Z than aussie. As more competition there, Mr Von Doom has that entire continent covered as far as O.G's!.😆
Thats mainly what I used to collect with my first collection. Kept a good lot of them, also threw a lot out. Believe it or not. Have a great Easter Kevin.🥚🤘
That album exceeded my expectations, big time. I have also heard rumours that Oliva might be giving it one more throw of the dice with a new final Savatage album. That would be awesome, Have a great Easter break Steve!.🥚🤘
I used to have that Doctor Butcher, but with a different cover (like a package of meat) - you know, the red wrapper butchers wrap meat in... Pascal has the version you have... Did you get this haul at a record fair? OMG!!! Dead Space is my favorite video game ever (especially Dead Space 2)! :)
I know the plain " Doctor Butcher " cover you are talking about. With a butchers wrapping cover, I have not come across that. The first 3-4 things I showed are pretty recent, and not from any record fair. However I am going to two record fairs this weekend, and another two next month. So hoping I will get some worthwhile stuff. Dead Space is so much fun, many terrifying hours spent playing those games on the X-Box. Dead Space 2 is my fav. as well I think. Thanks for watching Dan. Enjoy your Easter weekend.🥚🤘
@@AttackFromDownunda I have a Record Fair on saturday April 13th also to go to (twice a year they do this)... Good luck on your record fair this weekend! And yes, Dead Space 2 was sooooo good! Happy Easter to you and your family as well!
The art on a lot of CD's is printed darker for some reason. I'm not sure why that is but another one I can think of off the top of my head is the latest Megadeth.
I'm glad I did'nt buy that darker coloured vinyl re-issue. And managed to find an original, it sounds good to my ears. And looks better overall. I think if they don't have access to the original album artwork they rely on scans from peoples old albums. And the results vary, no excuse for Megadeths latest however.
