I'm so glad to hear your testimony about vegetarian/vegan diet. I've been struggling with my own vegan diet. Thank you for prayer. I wonder what our vegetarian brothers and sisters are hanging onto. All those hormones in the cow or chicken as milk and eggs are being produced, case so many increased hormone problems. God bless
The Adventist health message is contrary to Scripture. 'Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons...... forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thsnksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused by those eho believe and know the truth. 1 Timothy 1:1-4.
Pastor Doug look at that scripture in Acts in its context, while I agree we shouldn't eat unclean things. The text about Peter and the vision was about witnessing to a group of people, he didn't feel they deserved the message of God thinking the people were unclean or as Bible language would say Gentile. Jesus was getting him to realize the people all deserve the message. I am paraphrasing the message but read Acts 10 in its context it doesn't apply to food although its used symbolically.
But because even Peter had a trouble understanding the vision, since is about animales, he thought is was about what we eat and don't. Is it latter when we u understand that is was about people and HIS salvation for all people. But it can definitely be applied as history of what people of GOD had been eating, clean not unclean animals. Our church SDA, I think is the only one who's having as well the health message, see this vision as it is, not about eating whatever we want as long it's pray on it...
