One of the previous owners of the house had put a lot of time and effort into trying to make the house period correct. Sourced antique wood trim all over Ontario. Brought in Mennonites from around Elmira to work on the house including brickwork at the back around the 2 small windows, gingerbreading and rebuilding the porches on the house. He also had a slate roof put on using slate from a period home in Ingersoll.
Are you going to make use of those lovely dormers somehow? A loft? An attic bedroom?
It is a shame that the inside seems to be so stripped of any of the original charm that I assume it had at some point.

@@reignofthechatelaines We rescue old trim and doors from houses being torn down. Such beautiful work and usually sent to a landfill.
