I've been running the flail/life staff bc I really wanted it to work but it just feels underwhelming. Just farmed up the rapier and vg artifacts to switch over to for now. Great video btw super helpful.
Yeah.. I think the healing side of the Flail has the right idea but was executed poorly. A few change of the talents could make this weapon an alternative for the Life Staff. Glad it was helpful
Nice guide, using the flail build exactly as you specced it is very good for popping in and out of the front line as you push in opr. Life staff build I'm generally also solo in opr so healing as I see what's in front of me not the group only so SG, DE and beacon or Orb. Have to say I struggle with the aoe heal spec in opr with the incoming damage these days.
Nice video buddy ! Just missing the gear optimization with a nice theory crafting of the actual meta. I was thinking yester about thrust conditionning or flame conditionning, shirking heals, don't know which piece of BIS focus.

It's definitely a playstyle difference. I play DE/LE in point group because I am able to make full use of it healing out group and stuff. Clap is still pretty good if you are able to stay in range.
@@UutisetSoT I like the flail for its ability to use a shield. Helps me deal with the ranged attacks better. Also, as a flail user, u are more in the frontline closer to the melee action so I thought medium armor was better than light.
Most of the stuff ive been using as well the lifetaker void gautlets has been alright pretty nice perk other wise been trying the flail the healing breeze perk has been pretty awesome just more free healing ticks for a player
Void Gauntlet. It is the best weapon to pair with Life Staff in PVE for your group. It also scales off focus, and if you run Void Blade you can actually be considered as a DPS! Enjoy your leveling experience!
Are you having problems with healing in raid groups? I feel USELESS in the races because even if I’m in say group 3 and I press my key bind for Group member 3 it is randomly healing “group member 3” but in a separate raid group. Idk what to do.
So hot take but is it me or are people just completely oblivious to the pretty green circle that heals them on the ground? I swear you can place it on them and they’ll avoid it like the plague.

Both are similar. The only difference is that AOE healers use Orb of Protection for fortify buffs and heal over time. Group healers use DE to top players off. For 3v3 arena I would rank Flail = VG > Rapier. Flail is so good with duo and trio but gets countered by VG players. VG can apply disease, empower teammates, and do some good healing/damage. Just depends who you play with
You try Purifying Breeze on LS with Purifying on ring? Can hit some crazy numbers with splash. Healing Breeze is bad. Only works on single target with longer cd.

Yeah, the damage is insane this patch. Glad the Flail build worked out for you, the playstyle definitely is in and out - which is fun!

Is Splash of Light still worth it after the range reduction? Particularly if I'm a point healer in a war?

U could do that but keep in mind that light has 30% more healing.

Hey I am just coming back to the game and leveling a new character. I like to level with life staff but what would you suggest to use as 2nd weapon .

This happens when you target someome in a different raid group. Your keybinds will work as if you are in that group. Not sure if there's a fix

It's definitely viable! These are just the three meta options to pick from. You can make any weapon work with a Life Staff if you're good enough!

It's only good in a war setting IMO. I've played with it a lot and found the best usage of IG is on Defense in fort
