I‘m so fond of these wonderful and precious rarities... ✨✨✨ Thank you for sharing them!!! 🙏🍀
I saw her in The Merry Widow in London when I was a young school girl. I will never forget her. Her voice was was perfection. You could hear her above the whole cast on stage. Such a wonderful performance.
Dear and greatly loved June Bronhill.
Australian soprano June Bronhill, I remember her because she had a great sense of humour & was always smiling.
tHANKS ONCE AGAIN
She restored the fortunes of Sadler's Wells, which was in the red: the production played the West End, a national tour and a sell out national tour of Australia
Ballaratboy1 - this is sublime - had not seen this rare version before - thank you so much for sharing. Wondering if you may help me - not so ago LOVE UNSPOKEN from The Widow with Our June and the gorgeous Jeremy Brett was on RUclips and I played it over and over. Haven't been to play Our June for a bit as I have been very unwell and now I can't find it - it was just a single - as in one song and not an album. If you had it and could post it, I would be so grateful - kind regards from Ballaratgirl1 (true story) :)
Wonderful. Thanks. Do you by any chance have any more of the original BBC TV broadcast of June with the unforgettable Tom Round?
No sorry I don't have any of that BBC broadcast. Tom Round was not in this 1959 televised production.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Is it from Music for You with Eric Robinson? Wonderful
No, from a BBC broadcast of 13th November 1959. It was an abridged 1/2 hour telecast.
what a great voice .
