While out new $100k+ pool did not have a flowmeter, I estimated the flow by using a bucket and stopwatch.
I "calibrated" the 5 gallon bucket with 5 measured gallon jugs of water and marked the level on the bucket. I then used a piece of 3/4" tubing pressed tightly to the eyeball water jet fitting. With the pump running, my helper watched the bucket level as it was filled by the tubing and measured the time. I did this for each of the four eyeball water return fittings. I repeated each test to verity consistency. Total flow of the four fittings was 46 gpm.
