I was diagnosed with clear cell carcinoma ovarian cancer stage 3b, surgically removed 8 lbs tumor with total hysterectomy in September of 2023. Didn’t go through chemotherapy as my heart didn’t agree with it. I have recovered and doing well so far.
This was an excellent interview and when he mentioned the link between acute depression/ stress and the ovarian cancer it hit close to me as I was going through problems and was often depressed prior to the diagnosis. There are other added factors like diet and not having clean bowel movements and bladder can also be the cause for progression of the disease.
Having positive outlook, good diet and rest, clean bowel movements, besides good support system has helped post surgery and during recovery. I believe and hope I’ll recover fully without any recurrence. I hope my experience helps anyone out there going through this

Totally agree, I went through horrendous life events, became very stressed and depressed (so much so that it was classed as clinical depression treated with SSRIs, and after a few months was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Luckily early stage bc of chance - the tumour caused blood clots in legs and lung and the leg pain sent me to GP - of course they might also have killed me but I was lucky). I’m convinced there is a connection. Changed those life factors causing the misery and now have amazing support, and happiness; Wishing you all the best with continued remission!

I pray and hope for your normal, healthy and content life; and hope you don’t have any mental and physical hardships for the rest of your life. Please don’t let any life stressors get to you as the added pain, sufferings, emotional and financial burden that comes with it is not worth it. I have made conscious change not to let things bother to an extreme. Also eat healthy and clean food and rest well. Take good care of yourself always

How about fewer CTs for trial participants if you’re concerned about secondary cancers? Seriously!

Hi, really the discussion was very interesting and very informative.
My wife is suffering from Stage 3c high grade Serous Ovarian Cancer. She has just completed last neoadjuvant chemotherapy, after surgery the surgeon told me, what Dr Sood told, that there are some unresectable back scares or spots left on small intestine, if my doctor could have a pen as Dr Sood mentioned, I would be rest assured that there is total removal of all visible tumors , She may get a better chance of Progression Free Survival
