Ok, let me start by saying that I absolutely love this shoulder holster rig. It is very comfortable, easy to adjust, the vertical position of the holster makes it easy to conceal a bigger gun like my full size 1911, for example, and there is not restriction of the movement.
Is this the best shoulder holster? Well, I think that if you are looking for a good shoulder holster, you need to consider this one for sure. Your decision of course will depend on little features and specifics as to what you need. As for 1911 pistol, I think this is the best shoulder holster for 1911 if concealment matters to you.
Besides the comfort of wear this shoulder gun holster also has great looks. The dark brown leather loos beautiful.

Common Sense Americans support each other regardless of immigration status or how diverse their ethnicity is and skin color. Those are superficial qualities. Shoulder holsters don't seem to be used as much as hip holsters. But the shoulder ones with double mag pouches are best for concealed carry. Great video.
Thanks for the kind comment! Yes, definitely agree, especially when it comes to bigger, heavier guns, more comfort and easier to conceal.
There's another good reason for some folks to consider a shoulder holster. I' am older guy with a bit of a pot gut so sometimes it's hard just to keep my pants up without cinching a belt uncomfortably tight. This, and the extra weight of a gun make a belt holster simply too uncomfortable for extended concealed carry. The shoulder holster is much more comfortable to me, and it need not be limited, as everyone thinks, to colder whether when you can wear a jacket. I wear it in the Summer in Texas over my t-shirt and under an untucked (fairly loose, short-sleeve shirt with western style snap buttons. It only take a split second to rip the shirt open and another second to draw. I also think in many cases you can slowly and quietly draw more surreptitiously than you can with a belt holster where you have to untuck your shirt and the gun reach is more obvious. The belt loops that secure the holster and magazine carrier to the belt also serve like suspenders so I don't have to wear a belt uncomfortably tight.
Your video convinced me to order one for my 1911. Man... She was very tight when she got here.. Did the plastic bag method for a couple days.... Drew and holstered her a few dozen times and the leather is loosening up nicely and still a nice glove fit. Thanks for taking the time to do a nice review. I'm loving mine!

I was very critical of this holster about a year ago, when I was sixty pounds heavier. It felt like a waste of money. Now I love it paired with my K-frame revolver.

Nice setup.
A couple things. I just got mine in the mail and a few things have changed. First, my mag pouches fit my 10 round mags (9mm). Second, they didn't send me a break in kit, :( Third, the draw is perfect out of the box with my Kimber

As a revolver guy I really wish they still made the old west lightning style skeleton spring clip shoulder holster. The roto seems like a half decent compromise.
nice review. since my attack in 2018 leaving me in the hospital for 3 months had 2 stomach surgeries left me with a lot of stomach complications while everything is looking normal outside & since I am a kick boxer of 15+ years I got back in shape more quickly than doctors expected, but inside it feels like a mess, lol.
I feel bloated very easily where even a seat belt is uncomfortable, I can’t stand wearing belts even my inside the waist band appendix holsters which i am a huge fan of for carrying conceal annoy me some days.
I would appreciate if you can give me any tips on a good first shoulder holster that would be great.
I run an XD 40 4inch barrel with a streamlight TLR-7 (but dont mind removing it) to wear a shoulder holster unless you know if Alien Gear’s shoulder holster is light capable and have a pair of TruGlo TFX pro sights that’s pretty much it for now.

Watched the video, it was a good one but I'm wondering if the holster was adjusted equally or correctly as your gun seemed to be very far forward or in front vs tucked back on the side ?

Yes I am still messing with the adjustment on it, so definitely might get it better. Apparently vertical ones are much harder to get right than horizontal ones.

I have 5’ barrel 1911. If I ordered one under “model” would I put barrel length or overall length? I’m asking and slightly confused because 1911s are generally categorized by barrel length and not overall length but I just want to make sure.

Thank you! You can use it without the belt loops if you carry it a little higher, but because it is vertical, I would recommend using it with the loops attached to the belt.

It’s a high quality leather holster… of course it takes time to break it.. I’ve carried a small of back holster for a year from Falco as well and it’s still not broken in all the way.
I carry a 1911 in a horizontal shoulder holster daily
I chose the 8 round pouch, maybe I should've gone with the 10.

Just a thought, but it might be a good idea to NEVER have your hand over the mussel, especially re-holstering.

How is the quality compared to Galco and Desantis shoulder rigs ?
Both DeSantis and this holster are excellent quality. This one is a bit softer leather and with the leather back plate it is less noticeable to wear. Hopefully, I will have Glaco soon to review as well so that I can compare.
How many plates you squatting there?

Which 1911 version of holster did u get. There r quite few options. Not sure any different ie cocked n locked version
They call it cocked and locked but only means the strap goes under the trigger guard for retention

If I remember correctly, they have a standard 1911 profile, so you should be good to go with any of the 1911 holster. But I'd suggest reaching out directly to Craft, their customer service is pretty fast to respond, they'll help you out.

Whenever you are buying it, you just find the model of your handgun in the list. If they don't have it listed, just e-mail them, they have a very responsive customer support.

I just discovered a REAL problem with this holster. The "securing" snap on the holster does NOTHING. My 1911 easily slides in and out of the holster, regardless if the strap is snapped or not. So... the holster is a big fail if you want your 1911 pistol to be absolutely secured.
You're supposed to wear this style of holster with a pastel color t-shirt and you need a white Ferrari Testarossa. Of course the pistol should be a Bren 10.

Unfortunately, my experience with the Craft vertical holster has been a bit different. I purchased the Roto holster recently for my 1911. If you are obese and/or over 6'-4", you might like their harness. I'm 6' tall and fit (at 170 pounds), and found their harness to be waaaay oversized. I had to adjust the harness to the minimum settings to even get close to a proper fit. After several emails to Craft, their suggestion was I needed a custom, smaller harness rig. Wait a minute, if your standard harness rig can't be adjusted to fit a 6' tall man then you have a real problem with your design. Their so called buy back guarantee included me paying restocking fees. After more emails, I finally decided their customer support wasn't worth the aggravation. I took the harness to a leather worker who fixed it. It's not perfect but it's better. Their design also has the shoulder holster hanging so low, it doesn't provide much of an advantage over a cross draw belt holster (at half the price).
That's not good at all. Hell most men are shorter than 6' lol. I'm 6'1" and about 210 do you think it would fit me. Belly is getting bigger 🤣
