Analyzing Vertical Clearance using Autodesk Vehicle Tracking - Pt. 1 of 2

- When performing a swept path analysis using Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, the movement of a vehicle’s body and chassis are visualized using 2D “envelopes”. These envelopes are then reviewed to validate successful navigation, or identify areas of a site that are challenging for a design vehicle to access.
In addition to this “horizontal” analysis we should also ensure design vehicles have the appropriate vertical clearance to navigate a proposed site.
Fortunately, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking provides multiple ways to analyze vehicle paths from a “vertical” perspective. In today’s installment, we’ll explore a workflow that validates vertical clearance by driving a design vehicle along a Civil 3D profile.

You are welcome Shaun!
Thank you!! this is very useful
Other consults. How change magnitide from feets to meters. Apreciate this point.
I got an error says that it cannot analyse the object even though the scale is 1:1. What is the reason behind this? am I missing a crucial step?
Nice video sir
Thanks. Anyway to do section views?
an owesome video, but how do i access vechicle tracking ribbon in my civil 3d layout
Thank you so much for lesson Eng. Jeff , can you help me how I can great profile style like yous please ... thanks again
Is it possible to run the command in the profile using a Crane, for example this one "Liebherr LTM 1800 Mobile Crane"? The command gives me back this error "The drive mode does not support vehicles with multiple front axles". So i suppose I cannot use this command with that vehicle? Instead, I used the other command (part 2 of your video) and that worked with the crane. So the result is reliable even if obtained not in the profile but in the planimetric view right? Thank you
Very nice video sir thanks so much
Thank you for your support!
Dear respected sir I am waiting for part 2
Hi Jeff. Im Manuel. Please, tell me how Vehicle tracking calculate the speed values on the roundabouts HUD chart on each arms. I try with AASHTO. but i don´t undertand the value V1, V2, V3... how Vehicle tracking calculate that values?
Wow interesting...
