A really lovely pattern, which I’m now going to purchase even thought I said no more pattern buying, and a very nice video to go along with it. Thank you.
Very beautiful! I like that you read your knitting as I do. I had no pattern as a young child so reading the work was essential ....may be for you too. Happy knitting from Germany
You are a wonderful teacher! I’m excited to find your pattern and tutorial as I’ve been looking for a pattern to combine some lovely variegated yarn with solids. Thank you!
Thought I was so good with my tight knitting. Boy howdy its hard for me to not knit tight. Specially after trying to make everything look uniform. Just when you think you know it all you learn you're light years away and it takes a lifetime to learn all the skills.
Don't worry about knowing everything, I certainly don't know all the techniques out there!!! Just focus on a few core skills and enjoy! If you are relatively new to knitting then try hard to relax you hands, it might help with the tight stitches...
Oh Brilliant!! glad you like the patterns. You might think about signing up to the newsletter for discounts and news of the new releases! No worries if that's not your kind of thing!
Excellent tutorial. The only thing I was left wondering was whether you ran the coloured yarn up the side of the garter stitch rows, or do you cut and start again?
Hi, you can do either, and I have done both depending on what I'm making. For a shawl I cut the yarn and weave the ends in, for working in the round, or if I'm going to sew up for a cowl I carry the yarn up! Hope that helps.
@@helenkennedydesigns thanks for coming back to me. It is very lovely and you must be very talented. I was thinking Malabrigo would be similar. Yours is stunning

wow! this is fantastic
Thank you very much! enjoy!
Thank you for this excellent tutorial! This is a very interesting stitch. What is the name/brand of the variegated yarn you are using? It’s perfect!
Thank you so much. I dyed the yarn to sell at a local yarn festival!
Thanks ❤
you are very welcome, enjoy!
What yarn are you using? It's beautiful.
It's a single ply merino sock weight that I dyed myself. But malabrigo mechita comes in very beautiful colours the closest would be Diana.

@@nickydraper5559 you are too kind!
Is this being worked in the round?
No it's being worked flat. If you worked in the round you would do (k1, yo, k1, yo, k1) into the group of 5 sts.
@@helenkennedydesigns thank you yea i have been wanting to do this style of stitch but in a beanie
Slip st as if to purl.
Yes as if to purl!
