Just a hint for baking small clay items: I use a very small crock slow cooker. Mine is made by Rival. It saves having to heat up the oven. Amazon has a 1.5 qt one. Elite Gourmet MST-250XW Electric Slow Cooker Ceramic Pot Adjustable Temp, Entrees, Sauces, Stews & Dips, Dishwasher Safe Glass Lid & Crock Amazon's Choice I place the items on a layer of polyester batting.
