In a town where the sun hasn’t risen in months, people start transforming into mindless, zombie-like beings, leaving only a few dozen unaffected. Ok, so the woman slept with half the town and turned them into zombies?...
whenever the woman and her father slept, their dream selves turned others into strays. This causes half the town to turn. So its not necessarily because she slept with them... its just that she slept near them.
