Air Conditioning Adelaide - We recently had a question asked.. "How do I show the room temperature on the display?"
Hopefully this brief tutorial will assist.
*Please note: Often a client will be concerned that the "Room Temperature" on the display doesn't marry up with the room temperature they are requesting. This is often because the temperature is either being sensed at the Indoor Sensor (Return Vent in ceiling) or the wall controller itself. There are often too many variables for the two temperatures to match so please understand that their is more often than not a variation of possibly 1-3 deg.

First of all, thank you for your usefull tutorials about this Daikin remote controller.
Then I would have a question : (in winter here, so currently in heating mode) when I ask for a temp of 21° in the living room, I get it that's OK, but then it will have to decrease to 19° until the outdoor unit wakes up and we get heat again inside the house.
Consequently the indoor temp is always fluctuating 21 => 19 => 21 => 19 => 21... which is not really confortable.
Note: temp sensor is activated on wall remonte only, but it is the same if I switch to sensor in return vent (ceiling) or a mix of the 2 sensors...
So basically, what are the settings to apply in order to reduce this 2° threshold (I mean, delta temp) to make the unit switch from OFF to ON ?

great help.. but I need to know one more issue. I set it to 20c but automatically it goes back to 28c after 10/15 min .. how can I stop this change?

Hi Guys - I'm trying to work out a way to set up my unit so that I can pre set a temperature range (for example cooling @ 22 degrees) and once this room temp is reached - the unit turns off and then re-activates once the room temperature exceeds 22 degrees. Is this possible with the Daikin? I have reviewed your other (GREAT) videos but can't seem to find this. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Hi. I'm in a hotel in Vietnam and this is the controller in my room. I just changed the settings to show the room temperature (24ºC) but I am unable to change the setting from cool to heat. The only options being given are Cool - Dry - Fan. So right now, I have it set to 32ºC (because I'm really cold!) but the mode is Cool so it's not producing any heat. I've watched a couple of the other videos and downloaded the user manual but am unable to find how to get the Heat mode on. Please help! 🙂 Thank you.
What is the SYSTEM display item? When I select it its displays -- ?
Does ROOM TEMP display the temperature at the indoor unit sensor or the wall controller sensor?
Does it depend on the field setting mode 20 setting?
Blow in the controller thermistor snd see if it changes.if not you have your answer

Hi if the display is cracked and the display has been affected, it's probably best to contact your nearest Daikin dealer and request a quote for a replacement wall controller.

Yes they do, a simple on/off timer as well as a 7 day timer

Hi, if you definitely have it on the heating setting, you can further test by putting the temperature up. If you see no improvement, you may need to contact a service agent as it may have lost refrigerant, could be a pcb or reversing valve issue (amongst other issues). Best to have someone qualified to look at it further. Best of luck.
Hi, can the room temperature be displayed on the Daikin BRC230Z4, BRC230Z8, BRC24Z4, BRC14Z8 controller?
Hi Babar, Did you get an answer from anywhere? I'm having the same problem..
No it can’t, the zone controller is an up grade controller but a down grade in function ability , you can’t set it to display room temp.

Hi we have two daikin wall controllers like the ones you have shown, however for some reason when we turn on the air con in the main reception room, the hall way air con turns on too, and the controller does not show a green light on in the hall way. Why are the air cons working together rather than independently? we are also using "heat" setting.
This is difficult to answer without knowing the full story. There could very well be one air conditioning unit connected to 2 controllers. (These are referred to as Master/Slave). If you definitely have 2 x separate air conditioning units, then there may be other issues. It would pay in this case to engage a qualified service agent to determine what's going on. Cheers.
They should marry up within 30 min if sized corectly
i notice the operation lamp (Green LED) is not on. is there a way to set that the lamp does not stay on and light up a dark room?
Hi Dave, the only reason the green power indicator is not lit is because the air conditioner is switched off. This green led is purely to indicate that the system is powered to on. Maybe put a bit of black tape over the green led if you are concerned with it lighting the room up at night time? Sorry I'm not sure what else I can suggest there.
What if there is a 10 degrees difference?
Could be many reasons for this. Unit is undersized, short of gas, sensor issue etc etc...would contact a local Daikin tech to have them inspect and report.
