- AutoCAD Civil 3D Retaining Wall Tutorial. This class will show simple and effective methods for easily creating variable-height retaining walls using tools in AutoCAD Civil 3D software, and it will be of interest to anyone wishing to work on retaining wall design.
The class will cover concepts that are often misconstrued as complex, and we will deliver these topics in an easy-to-understand and occasionally entertaining style. The delegate will see ways in which to represent a retaining wall as a surface, as well as construct a full solid model of the design. We will introduce Subassembly Composer software to offer intelligence to the creation of the solid model. We will discuss workflows into Revit software, and we will present an unconventional workflow into Inventor software.
Learn how to design a retaining wall surface and add it to your finished surface model
Discover the principles of targeting in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Learn how to use Subassembly Composer to help design an assembly that enables stepped footing widths to vary according to wall height
Learn how to extract a solid model of a retaining wall designed in AutoCAD Civil 3D and import it into Revit or Inventor

Genius!!
Probably the best AU class ever! Thank you
best tutorial I have till now
Muchas gracias por su excelente explicación. Thank you, an excellent explanation. Greetings from Colombia, South America.
It was brilliant 👏. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I also enjoyed your jokes as a digression
am Engineer from Kigali Rwanda. thank you for this
like it,,the way you presentation
Thanks for liking
Yes Sir.. I am a beginner for C3D. Thank you for this tutorial Video.
Thank you.
The specification shown around the 52mins is murky. Is there a way we can view a clear version.
thank you very much from palestine
You're welcome 😊
Do you know why my subassembly is inserted on civil 3D as the Layout Mode and not like Roadway Mode ?
What would happen instead of putting 9,800% slope and you did put a slope like 1/8 of an inch per foot would it make a difference instead of showing it vertical?
Surely, you can make any inclination near 90 degrees but not equal to 90 degrees so as to avoid error modelling in civil 3d. Anyway, for general retaining wall profile, it shall be commonly designed with certain vertical inclination.
I accidentally changed the property of the tool pallet link slope and vertical deflection, now it's gone. How can i restore it?
hello mister may i have a contact person to ask about the sub assembly composer?
Nice, but the urine and camel jokes didn't help. Just stick to the presentation please.
Hey youtube. How do I report someone for having no sense of humour? Most engaging civil3d presentation out there by far.
