Anastasia is one of my favourite films of all time, would love to see a West End production of the show!
Same here but i wish the original cast from Broadway to be in the west end
Ahhh that would be the best!!!!
Yesss plsplspls🥺🥹
Anastasia, one of the most underrated movies EVER!!!
What other movies do you find underrated?
@@manuelorozco7760 Treasure Planet, Atlantis, Narnia etc.
@@benv7933 I haven’t seen those in forever
I'm glad to hear that Don Bluth approved of the Anastasia musical. Though I was unable to see the musical, I'm sure it would've been good.
Believe me, it blows the movie out of the water in terms of music, scope and complexity.
Thank you, Don Bluth, for all the amazing animated movies you’ve made and contributed to make 😌 !
Anastasia, The Land Before Time, the Secret of Nihm, and Fievel are great movies 🙏.
My favorites are Thumbelina and Pebble and the Penguin
Don Bluth is truly a great animator, I just hope that someday a worthy successor will follow in his footsteps, and create 2D animated movies as beautiful as Bluth's.
Best 5 of his movies (not in any kind of rating): The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, All Dogs Go to Heaven, and Anastasia.
Second! I saw the show back in November in Costa Mesa and it was so beautuful. Its about time we heard Don Bluth's thoughts about the Broadway show. To be fair, i think the stage version made me appreciate the story even more. But at the same time, it blows the movie out of the water. Lila Coogan and Jake Levy were Anya and Dimitri at my show. However, the show paused in the middle of Act One for 15-20 minutes because the stage hands tried to fix the train set. But they did not. They were no problems for the rest of the show. My favorite Don Bluth movies are Thumbelina and Pebble and the Penguin!
Man, I love Don Bluth and his movies! Anastasia has always been a favourite, I wish I lived in the US so I could see the musical as well...
My favorite Don Bluth movies are Thumbelina and Pebble and the Penguin
Don Bluth is truly a great animator, I just wish he could keep up his career, and make more beautiful 2D animated movies.
@@dreamguardian8320 Sadly Titian A.E was a box office bomb, and FOX animation studios was closed down.
@@orangeslash1667 It took me until 2014 to sit down and watch it
@@manuelorozco7760 yeah
OK at first I didn’t want to see this play because I did a lot of things that I didn’t agree with but hearing him saying he loved it I NEED A TICKET RIGHT NOW
Jeff Hughes Check the website when the tour comes to a city near you. What makes this show amazing is it goes deeper into the historical context and raises the emotional complexity of the story.
God bless you Don Bluth! You have created some of my favorite movies of my childhood that still touch my heart! Thank you for all that you’ve contributed to animated film ❤️
I loved the 1997 film “Anastasia” so much, I actually watched it all the time since I was a kid and I got to see the show in Boston on August 18, 2022. it was so good but pretty much different from the movie
oh how i want this back on broadway with the original cast
Me too, I never got the chance to see it, and I want another chance. Hopefully, the virus will be defeated soon, and all the theaters will open once again. I want to be able to go somewhere again without having to wear a mask.
i love anastasia!!
She just wanted to be remembered. Thanks guys
THE LEGEND HIMSELF
The movie is just absolutely amazing, thank you for giving us this wonderful movie Mr. Bluth. You are truly an inspiration.
Lovley Don Bluth
It's truly amazing how Don Bluth is still alive, after so many years. Hopefully he can live long enough to try and bring back the beauty of 2D animation to the world and into our lives.
@@dreamguardian8320 We all have been wanting it to happen since 2015
@@manuelorozco7760 Well, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who want's good old 2D animation back.
@@dreamguardian8320 Well Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure And 2017 Ducktales is the closest thing to a hand drawn comeback we will get
@@manuelorozco7760 Well, there's also Klaus.
Anastasia is one the Bluth's best films. Some people say that it's be like Disney, I disagree, the movie has it's own thing, it's not a generic Disney knockoff.
My favorites are Thumbelina and Pebble and the Penguin
@@manuelorozco7760 Don Hated Pebble and the Penguin.
@@orangeslash1667 He has every right to believe and the movie is hardly perfect. Do I care? Yes. But it has its pros too
@@manuelorozco7760 Don felt that MGM interfered way too much on P&TP, that he wanted his named removed from the credits. He failed.
@@orangeslash1667 I do remember reading that
This is the best video !!! 💖
yeah I love Don Bluth's cartoon movies since I was a kid long time ago
that's how much I miss his movies brings back memories.
Nice
Don Bluth is the goat! He's incredible.
I'm kinda divided. On the one hand, I think Anastasia was MADE for Broadway. But, I don't like how they cut out Rasputin. He was the best part about the movie, and "In the Dark of the Night" would be great on Broadway! The historians who were pissed about the inaccuracies about Rasputin need to remember that this movie was made for entertainment, not education.
I actually liked the musical better then the movie
Can You Do Have The Release Date Of Thumbelina The Broadway Musical Please Don Bluth
Please make subtitles for this video 😿 I love Anastasia but I from another country
Will this be filmed and available to buy / download? My kids loved Shrek the Musical but this could be a great watch.
It’s not the plan at this time
Wonder how Bluth would feel if they make musical versions of his other movies like An American Tail, Rock-a-Doodle, Thumbelina, The Pebble and the Penguin, etc.?
Im game
Can You Do Have The Release Date Of Thumbelina The Broadway Musical Please Yessssssssssssssss OK
Din Bluth is a genius.
We need An American Tail to become a Broadway Musical!
I would rather see Thumbelina and Pebble and the Penguin
@@manuelorozco7760 What about The Secret of Nimh?
Tony Barde I haven’t seen that one. Only the sequel
@@manuelorozco7760 Ok
Tony Barde Too Dark for my taste
Don once stated that he disliked working on the film because studios heads would head in and give orders to the animators without even consulting him first.
You must be thinking of Pebble and the Penguin
Manuel Orozco Nope. It was Anastasia. The Fox executives would hand out notes to the animator directly !
RedaDoodles I didn’t know until now
@@manuelorozco7760 No worries. I was part of his animation website back in 2011. He mentioned that info during a character design session.
RedaDoodles That’s Cool. I found out on Twitter Mr Bluth is starting a new studio
Where is the dragons lair??? Did you have a money kickstarter to make dragons lair movie??
Netflix is doing a live action one and Bluth is producing. REALLY wish we were getting a 2D animated with Don and Gary at the helm but I'll take what we're getting.
@@benv7933 And so will I
