The graphics should never be improved. One of the beauties of animation or video game graphics is that the style can itself inform character and mood. The jank of the characters helps tell the story of the dead end alcohol-fueled lives here, where shitbox rally racing is one of their few joys. In fact the whole game is lovingly crafted from hopelessness and deliberate failure, where only constant vigilance can keep your character (and the Satsuma) from the grave. And the ending which Mart got from the original two-part video...
PS Don't worry about Maxwell. He cannot be harmed by mortal weapons. Hitting him with a car just makes him annoyed.

They do update the game but they very much tend to stay with this style or keep using the same models. although the Satsuma may have gained more parts since I last played it.
