I was fortunate enough to be able to reach through w/o taking the entire wheel well apart and just cutting the tire as far as I could to the right. Great video. Extremely helpful! Thanks!
Both mine went out within 3 months of buying the car brand new. Had the dealership replace them for like $60 (stupid I know). 1 month later they both went out again. Your video helped me so much! Want to get something done, you gotta do it yourself. Thanks for the guide!!
Dude, THANK YOU so much for this video! I’ve literally put off changing mine because it goes out and then magically turns back on! Pretty sure it’s just a loose connection, but if I replace one, I always replace the other. Like and subbed 👍
Thanks! Yeah I've experienced that too. Hit a pot hole and suddenly notification goes away lol. Poorly designed. Never had such issues with running lights on any other vehicle personally.
Thanks. Shops over here are refusing to replace. One shop would do it but charge 1.5 hr labor work which is $120 So I am gonna do it myself.Manual mentions P21 5w so bought 7528 , have to return it now.
Yeah, these running lights are horrible. No matter the brand they go out for me way more than any of my other vehicle's running lights. $120 is crazy for a bulb replacement even though it is time consuming. FYI I've been able to remove only a portion of the wheel well cover and get my hand back there enough to get the bulb out and replace it. I only did that for the video so I could show what I was doing and not everyone has skinny hands like me to get it out. Best of luck! Glad you found this video helpful and saves you money!
Thanks man so much for the insight. I especially liked how you explained the manual’s misrepresentation. I have to repair things myself all the time and I just wanted you to know that you did a wonderful job. Going to replace my daytime running light now. 😊
Love this comment! There are forums about this online and even then confusimg so I figured I'd document it and clear things up for people. Good luck with your repair!
Excellent video! Well done on the video presentation and on the commentary. What year model is the car. Do ypu knownif the 2024 Picanto has the same bulb type and setup?
I could only find online that the DRLs are part of a multifuse therefore, if you have a bad fuse, you will see other things fail as well. They are not on their own circuit. Did you replace the bulb and nothing happened? In the past when my bulbs went out, I could see that the bulb had a broken filament. Can you tell me more about your situation and maybe I can help further?

Awesome! Glad the video helped you and you didn't have to take out all the dumb plastic clips. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.

Yeah these bulbs suck. They aren't a big deal except that it tells you EVERY TIME you start the car and it gets annoying!
Glad the video helped you!

Thank you so much for this video
You are the man for this video, thank you!
Thanks for the comment! I enjoy hearing that my time was well spent helping others.
Every model up until 2022 had this issue. I've seen a lot of KIA Forte with driving side daytime running light out.
Agreed! It's always our driver side. I don't think our passenger side has ever gone bad.
Excellent video! Well done on the video presentation and on the commentary. What year model is the car. Do ypu knownif the 2024 Picanto has the same bulb type and setup?
Thank you! This one is a 2019 forte. I do not know about the 2024 picanto sorry.
Does anyone know what part is the black item holding the bulb and the connector? I think that's my issue, not the bulb itself.
Are you talking about this one here?
www.ebay.com/itm/314510044013
Anyone knows what the part that holds the bulb actually is called? Mine had some type of residue and might have to be replaced as well
Sometimes this can be referred to as a socket? I would search [year] kia forte running light socket.
Hope this helps or is what you were asking for.
A big help. Thanks so much. Agreed, my owner’s manual wasn’t helpful either.
Glad it helped!
Do you know where the fuse is? I guess mine burned out

What year is your Forte?
The one in the video is a 2019
yours has 100 miles more than mine thats crazy, and you have had all the same light changes lmao
The lights on this thing are ridiculous. I have other vehicles that go 2x, 3x, 4x longer life than this one.
Glad the video helped you!
This a nomal hologen bulk not sport light bulk 😂
Thanks for checking out the video! Yeah just a regular bulb. I'm not sure what a sport bulb is.
