Hello and welcome to book tube Nick. I’m still pretty new to all this malarkey and finding my way around too. Look forward to hearing what you have to say. Best wishes with what you choose to read. I hope you get some great stories.
Hi, welcome to Booktube! First, I LOVE the name of your channel. Second, I'm glad only not the only one who had to do the Newbie Tag in Two Parts! LOL! I look forward to more from you!
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you love the channel name-I had fun coming up with it! And yeah, the Newbie Tag definitely had more layers than I anticipated! It’s been a fun ride though, and I’m excited to keep experimenting with these videos. Looking forward to seeing more from you as well, and thanks again for the warm welcome to BookTube!
Welcome to BookTube! I hope you enjoy the community here. I love what you said about why you started the channel, especially about trying new things even when not as young as used to be. I've been thinking a lot about that the last few years....how much I had settled into feeling like "this is what life is" at this age....and finally realizing hey I actually can still do and start and try SO many things!!! I hope that you enjoy BookTube and the process! I also read multiple books at the same time. Usually 2-3 paper books, 1 audio, and 1 kindle book at a time.
Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I really appreciate your words about trying new things-it’s been such a process of rethinking what’s possible. I think we can get into this mindset of thinking we’ve "arrived" at where we are, and that sense of adventure or willingness to be a beginner at something can start to slip away. But BookTube has been a fun reminder that there’s always more to explore, no matter our age or where we’re at in life. It’s definitely a learning curve, but I’m excited to see where it goes! And I love that you’re a multi-book reader too! I relate so much to juggling different formats-right now I’ve got three physical books, an audiobook on my walks and for housesework, but I have yet to get into Kindle at scale. It's a weird combo of not wanting to give Jeff Bezos any more money and I love the temporality of a physical book. Regardless, it’s nice to know I’m not alone in the book juggling world! Looking forward to connecting more with you here on BookTube!
@@DrCrankyPantsReads Yes! I love re-discovering that sense of adventure and fun that can come in trying new things and even working on hard things. I'm glad you've been enjoying RUclips so far! I totally get that about Kindles. It is a tough one! It's nice though that you can borrow ebooks from the Libby app and whatnot too.
Hi, Nick! I'm looking forward to hearing about all bookish things you want to share with us. From an oldie content creator to a newbie, welcome aboard. We're so glad to have you here!
Welcome to the booktube community Nick! Love the name of your channel :) It was definitely out of character for me when I started my channel, but the more you do it the easier it gets. I can't tell you how many bloopers I had when I first started - made for great blooper reels. Over 40?! Hah, you are not alone - there are a lot of us older booktubers in the community :)
Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I'm really glad to hear I'm not the only one who felt a bit out of character when starting-there’s definitely been a lot of fumbling on my end too (might need to start saving those bloopers for some future reel material 😂). It’s reassuring to know that the awkwardness fades with time! And yes, over 40 and here we are, proving it's never too late to jump into the BookTube community. Thanks again for the encouragement, and I’m looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me!
So glad ai found your channel. Your blooper at the end was amazing! Just before pressing record today, my candle topper decoration cracked. The loud pop scared me and definitely made me wish I had already been recording! Thankfully, no glass flew, only a crack through the thick glass.
Oh no, that sounds like a moment! I can only imagine the chaos if you’d caught that on camera-definitely blooper reel material! I’m glad no glass flew, though. And thank you so much for finding the channel and sticking around! I’m glad you enjoyed the blooper-it’s always a little reminder that recording is rarely as polished as it looks. Here’s to more candle drama-free filming in the future!
Welcome! I found your channel via a shout out from Reading This Life (MJ), and her Oct. 20, 2024, video "I'm a BookTuber Enthusiast WATCH THESE NEWBIES!"
Well hey and welcome to the community. I'm fairly still new myself, but really love interacting with the other community members. Looking forward to more.

You had me at "RUclips's Biggest Thirst Trap." Classic.
And thanks. Feels awkward to be here, but that'll wear off.

1:05 Unintentional jump scare. LOL. Relatable.

@DrCrankyPantsReads Definitely! I've connected with quite a few others and the experience had been genuine. Looking forward to more.
MJ sent me here! Subbed, and good luck with it!
That MJ. She's a good one. Welcome! Thanks for hanging out with me - I appreciate you!
Your moniker alone deserves a sub. So subbed! Hello, Nick from a fellow newbie. Kia ora from New Zealand. I look forward to seeing your channel grow.
