What gets me every time is the lack of powder particles. I mean you can brake as hard as you can but all you do is leave a trail in the snow, it always kills my "immersion"
They were actually really good when the game first came out--like a snowy mist. Then they patched it and they looked terrible. And I guess now they removed them altogether.

Looks beautiful and I like how the options are laid out to make your way for scoring points like Steep has. If it hasn't got enough SSX characteristics with no music then it feels so isolated to even play like this. At least the characters shout when they drop
At least with most modern consoles you can have a Spotify app playing while you play the game. Honestly I might get this while I wait for riders republic and just jam to my playlists while I cruise around the map

As someone who has spent 40+ years on mountains skiing and snowboarding, this is pretty damn realistic and far better than just good. The physics are brilliant, very realistic, as is the lighting, environment, and snowboarder/skier. This looks fantastic. Remember, it’s a video game. Not a discovery channel documentary.

Cool looking game, but there is something about the lighting that just isn't sitting right with me. When the sun is behind the mountains, the sunlight is still hitting certain areas where it shouldn't be. It just looks a bit weird.

Skiing in riders republic doesn't come close to steep. Steep still does it better.
When I was a kid a favourite TV show was a cartoon called "Sport Bag Billy". He had this tiny little magical bag & could pull any sports equipment he might need at any moment, depending on the situation.
Not sure what made me think of it.....
